I actually went to this place for a birthday dinner– none other than my dear mother’s birthday. I was puzzled by her choice of location which, as you can tell from the name, is actually a vegetarian restaurant. Nope, she is not a vegetarian. That was why I found this to be all more strange. Finding the place was a bit of an adventure in itself, nestled away in an old commercial building is this restaurant which seats at maximum something like 10 tables. Each table is separated by a Chinese window so it is rather private, but the small interior means that it does get quite loud when the place fills up. It is what they would classify as a «private kitchen” — you don’t really get a menu as such but it depends on what they are making that night. This is an interesting experience for me as I rarely go to these private kitchens and even less so veggie ones. The food? Surprisingly all is very nice, they do try to imitate meat dishes but even the straight veggie ones were very nice indeed. Benefit of being a private kitchen means that everything was quite fresh and there was none of that marinated nonsense you get elsewhere. Prices I guess aren’t too steep but bear in mind this is a veggie restraint and they aren’t supposed to be expensive anyways. Book in advance is a must.
