Prior to booking a room here, I poured through dozens and dozens of hotel reviews and listings. In a city like Hong Kong, there just seems to be so many options that all seem impressive. But once I factored in price, location, inclusions and vibe this seemed to be the winner after what probably turned out to be an hour or two of scouring through choices. We opted to stay in Kowloon(Tsim Sha Tsui) because we heard it’s great for a first time visitor, with quick access to the skyline and a range of shopping options.(Not just high end stuff.) Although shopping was low on our priority list, we also found Kowloon hotels to be a little friendlier on the budget overall. For just a little under $ 200, The Luxe Manor provided refuge from the hustle and bustle and lots of perks during our short stay. Included in that price, was access for two to the breakfast buffet each morning, two complimentary cocktails at the bar, a shuttle to the airport, free WiFi, a mobile phone that we took and used all over the city as we explored and perhaps even some other amenities that we didn’t have a chance to fully use. All I remember is that they had to print a list of all the add-ons that we could take advantage of, and since our mission was to explore more often than not, we were really only in our room to sleep and shower. The lobby is a bit swanky, but in a way that some folks might feel is a bit over the top. To me, as long as it’s clean and inviting I’m happy but I will agree with other reviews that mentioned the strong smell of cleaner in the lobby. The rooms are a fair size — not too big, not too small. They were able to break our King bed into two fulls when they realized it was a sister duo instead of a couple staying. I would have never thought in a million years those beds could have been so easily broken down, but they were quick to offer and assemble for us. We also received some cute little chocolates that were sitting on the desk, just waiting for us to snatch them up. It was only after scarfing them down did we realize there was a note addressed to someone else sitting right next to it.(Oops!) Somehow, more chocolates appeared the next evening as well, so I’m not sure if this is actually something standard, but they were always exciting to receive.(No note the second time.) Overall, our stay was fantastic. We could easily walk to the subway, lots of restaurants, shops etc and the staff was kind, professional and accommodating. Definitely worth the money and probably one of the best overall deals around!

I have stayed here probably 10 times over the years. The staff is wonderful! They always recognize that I have stayed here before and welcome me back with a room upgrade. The rooms are very clean and whimsical– a nice change from sterile chain hotels. I love the location and their great breakfast buffet. Wi-fi is fast and easy to use. Basically, it’s hard to find anything better in HK for the price. Highly recommended.

This trendy hotel is where elegance meets rock and roll in a Falco(of Rock Me Amadeus fame) sort of way and in a central Kowloon location(near the Jordan MTR location). The rooms were sizable, a great value, and had a nice cool factor. There is a large, classical style bar that serves a nice wine list, cocktails, and has a pre-dinner hors d’ouevre selection alongisde professional service(and a live band Friday and Saturday nights). The restaurant, which serves an included breakfast, is also quite nice. They do provide a smart-phone in every room for your use, but of course like most I already have one and did not need it. They even provided some printing and scanning services I needed(for a fee) — everyone in the staff was courteous and friendly.
