It’s the dive bars in Hong Kong to make you realize how dense this city really is.
First of all, I never knew about this bar for all the years I lived around Soho/​Central. But for some others, this bar has been their go-​to bar for years. In two consecutive nights, I spent good time here and it certainly has its own characters.
It’s a dive bar after all, so don’t expect crazily fancy décor. The indoor area was decent enough, at least in the standard of whatever bars in a backstreet may set. People don’t mind sitting at the table outdoors too, and I was among one of them. It’s not just a backstreet, but where people constant passing by or dropping by. To be fair, it’s actually a back alley connecting Graham Street and Shelly Street, so at the front it’s The Globe, and at the back it’s Pure Fitness (at B.E.P.). Put that into the context of Soho, then suddenly it’s not that bad a location at all.
Drinks were okay, you could get most of the usuals here. Staff were attentive but not pushy. We were sitting outside but they were aware at the times we finished our drinks and ready to order more.
I’ll certainly add this bar in my rotation.
