Not many cities can afford three Repetto stores(excluding the merchandise), even its original base Paris. I adore how they remain the ballerina at the back drop. It is how a brand keeps its root. We all shop our flats there. But the story-telling marketing engages the elegance of ballet, the originality of comfortableness, and the essence of beauty. The pink-white tone drive us back to some dream land. Oh yes, girls, flying like a swan. The display is a lovely circle of the category with multiple new season colours and fabrics. It just make us more greedy to get a full collection. I do remain conservative in terms of buying them from the Hong Kong stores as if you check their EU website. Sadly they do not ship to Hong Kong. But in case you are traveling or you have visitors from the other side of the world? But I cannot deny the privileged store experience either. Once your put all your feet in, and you will probably end up taking out your wallet. ;)

I’m so in love with this store… as a kid I used to do ballet and flamenco dance. One of the things I loved the most was wearing my outfit at the classes. For ballet, I used to wear my skin leotards and colorful short skirts, with warm-ups and ballet shoes. Besides dancing shoes, my leather soft shoes were my favorite thing in the world. I had a few pairs, all in salmon, and wore them even at home when I wasn’t practicing. Stepping into Repetto is, in a way, stepping into my childhood memories. The ballet deco of the boutique(a small bar, a few red velvet armchairs) reminds me of my practice classroom back home. At this shop in Pacific Place they also have some other non-ballet shoes and casual bags. Whereas I’m not so keen on those, I do love their clothing and practice shoes. The clothes are very simple, plain, in light colors, functional, they are essentially made to do ballet and they’re good quality. The ballet shoes are amazing, and that’s why I visited the shop in the first place. Today I wanted to buy a pair of soft leather ballerinas: one of the girls at the shop was really helpful, advising on sizes(normally one and a half or two sizes bigger than your normal shoes’) and styles(they have cotton and leather, but I preferred leather). They aren’t very pricey for what they are(around 360HKD for leather and 260HKD for cotton). I tried a few until I got the right ones and looked at them in the mirror… I felt like a little girl again! I left them reserved for next week and I’m coming back to pick them up and check out a skin leotard I saw…
