Momotaro is located in the new, gorgeous, 198 Wellington St. Building. Since my office is super close by, I’ve always been intrigued by the restaurants here. I want a piece! Momotaro is one of the restaurants that caught my eyes. My friends agreed that they’d like to try this Japanese restaurant, so I made a reservation to this restaurant for Thanksgiving day so that my friends and I could have Friendsgiving together. The restaurant is nicely designed. The staff here are super friendly and helpful — attention to detail to the T. I really do appreciate the great service that they provide here. The food here was pretty good. I’d definitely say this is one of the Japanese restaurants I’ve been to — great ambiance, attentive staff, and good food. I usually don’t like udons because they’re super thick, but I certainly enjoyed the udon they had here. They even have *truffle* edamame as an appetizer, along with other veg appetizers. Yum. So vegetarians — fear now. You will certainly have food here to eat. I want to return for the udon again, but also want to try their vegetarian fried rices — oh the dilemmas in life. ;P Veg options we got: — Sesame spinach: just ok — can pass on this dish if you want to try other stuff — Agedashi tofu: definitely check this one out, the tofu was nicely done, we were all very impressed — Truffle edamame: you’ll like this if you like edamame as well as truffles — Vegetarian udon: yum, well done I didn’t get to try their drinks or dessert this time around because my friends and I stopped by Vea(right upstairs on the 29th floor). Will be sure to check it out next time.
