Wow wow wow Maks noodle is the best noodle I’ve had here in HK The noodles are crispy And fresh The broth just right with adequate portion size Any more bigger bowl and it would be considered too salty Must go if you are in hk

The broth was unique! I was surprised at how beefy and rich it was. Normally, I expect a clearer broth with noodles, but this one was dark like beef stock. Since they serve brisket with the soup, I can only assume the broth is the liquid left over from braising the beef. Speaking of the beef, I ordered the basic won ton noodle soup, and it came with won tons AND some cubes of very flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth brisket. A very hearty dish, but a little on the small side as others have mentioned. No worries… room to try another delicious dish!

A well-known noodle shop in Hong Kong and deserving of its praise from many locals. The wonton noodle and beef brisket noodle were both tasty and served in surprisingly manageable portions… ie. if you’re coming hungry, be sure to double up on the orders or add additional dishes to your meal. A notch under Kau Kee and Ho Hung Kee in terms of texture and noodle quality, but still very good and better than just about any place in the states.

There’s no place better that a good noodle shop. This is that, price is right, food is unpretentious and traditional in taste. This is comfort food. Like a rich creamy mac n cheese or a burger that’s juicy: I don’t need art for comfort food. Mak’s Noodle gives you comfort food. Service is fast, lighting is good so you can hang out and work if you want. What I like is the convenience, opposite a Ding stop, bus stops and in front of the Crowne Hotel(so if you’re staying at the Crowne and blew your budget on your shopping spree, you won’t starve.

This wonton noodle joint is what you can expect from most wonton joints in Hong Kong. Not exactly clean, the servers are a little rough, and the food here is decent. I don’t really go to wonton noodle places too often, but when I do, it is usually when I am busy and only have time for a quick bite… and I am not too keen on going to a place like this myself either. Most of these places only have Chinese menus and to me, that is a bit of a problem. I would go when I am with a local… i actually would rarely recommend going to wonton places, just because I am not so keen on the noodles. I prefer«hor fun» — rice noodles instead. This place is pretty decent though, I like the wonton noodles here, it’s very tasty. One thing I have to note though, is that i find the bowls here really small! I mean, I don’t think i eat THAT much but I do get hungry after a couple hours, so when I go, I usually order a side of snacks or a vegetable to go with it. I think guys can easily wolf down 2 – 3 bowls of this. Tourists love it here though, because it’s wonton noodles and that’s exactly what they expect when they visit hong kong… i don’t blame them.
