This restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. The chef is Japanese, but this place does not serve sushi or sashimi. It bills itserving serving Japanese Homecooking. There are a selection of appetizers, and there are many items on the Specials. I guess if I were describing this restaurant in places other than Asia or rather more specifically — Hong Kong, I would describe it as a hole in the wall. However, Hong Kong is small and space is very precious. This is a tiny place with no more than 8 tables, or rather say the seating capacity is no more than 15 or so. If you arrive and there is no table available and you want to wait, you can give your name to one of the wait staff, they will mark it on a piece of paper on a clip board. The food for me is OK but not outstanding, and some seems to be modified to suit Hong Kong Chinese’s taste. e.g. the Dinner Set my friend ordered is Pork Chops with Pineapple, when I tried it, it tastes like a little bit like Sweet & Sour Pork, though the taste is a bit milder. The set I had was Pork Chop in Ginger Sauce, the rice is good. My favourite is the Tofu Salad with Okra. That was great. The bottom line is that it is not as good as what you get in Tokyo or any other place in Japan, but it is ok in New Terriotries in Hong Kong.
