Ina Hotpot by Inagiku

A friend recommended this hotpot place so we came to check it out. They offer 2 dinner time slots and we booked for the 8:15pm dinner section. It’s a bit of a walk from the Sheung Wan MTR. Nonetheless this place was easy to find. The interesting restaurant entrance is a sliding door that looks like a stone wall from the outside. The restaurant has a high ceiling and simple décor. Very spacious and inviting.
We got the coconut chicken soup base. It’s very delicious! Loved the soup and chicken before we used the remaining broth for hotpot. We ordered the beef combo and pork combo, along with some veggies/​dumplings/​udo. The chef came out to introduce the beef and pork selection when the combo was served! Also recommended the sequence that we should follow for the various beef/​pork selections. Very informative with a personal touch!
The beef was AWESOME! The beef combo meat quality was very different from the usual Hong Kong style hotpot. You can definitely taste the difference! To my surprise, the pork combo was also VERY DELICIOUS! I’m usually not a fan of pork when it comes to hotpot, but if you visit Ina Hotpot, please try the pork combo!!! I highly recommend it! It melt in your mouth!
The server helped us to cook the dumplings and udo noodles at our table and was very helpful. Excellent service!
Overall 4 stars and would definitely come back for more!
