Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

This hotel really deserves a zero but I will say that I give it a ONE because the hotel room was nice (not perfect but nice) & it was the best part of my Hong Kong Disney vacation. My Hong Kong Disney vacation earlier this year was horrendous. My mother & I could only escape it’s horrors in our room.
We chose this hotel because we had heard this one was classier & less crowded with small children. I imagine it’s a lot less tacky then the Hollywood Hotel.
The room was the only part I liked about this whole experience. I liked that the room had a Snow White themed bathroom. She’s my favorite princess so that was fun for me. The room itself was an elegant room with subtle Disney touches. I love that the décor was classy & adult friendly but still had those touches of Disney characters & artwork. The classic/​retro Disney cartoon channel was good fun as well. I spent my best hours at the resort in the robes drinking wine & relaxing inside our room away from the horrors waiting for us outside. It was kind of the hotel to send a Happy Birthday cake shaped towel to my room. Thank you for that. That’s about as good as the experience gets here.
As for the hotel itself, the customer service was the worst I have ever encountered in any hotel I have ever stayed at. When we arrived we were not allowed to check in until 3. We checked in our bags since we had no other choice & the boys tossed around our Louis Vuitton luggage like it was a garbage heap. Even if my bag had been from Walmart I would have expected better treatment of my things. I was not happy to leave my luggage in the hands of these careless people.
Once we were able to check in the lady at the desk was extremely rude. We waited in the line like good citizens for about 25 minutes since it was busy when we got back from the park but of course many Chinese people cut to the front of the line, something I noticed is a common thing in Hong Kong. They were not asked to move to the back of the line, they were actually helped before all of us. When I mentioned my annoyance at this I was ignored. Also the hotel is very dirty. At first I thought maybe they were going for a rustic look but when I looked very closely it was just dirty.
All I can say about anything HONG KONG DISNEY is that it’s not worth it & it feels like a fake experience. So surreal in so many ways. It’s not a true Disney experience. It’s not true Disney customer service. Disney should really consider revoking Hong Kong’s rights to their brand. I wish I had gone to Tokyo Disneyland for my birthday instead.

This hotel looks just like Grand Floridian in Walt Disney World. Of course it is much smaller in size because it is in Hong Kong. The decoration is very nice, and the room is nice and warm. There is an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, both staffed with life guards. The outdoor pool has a water slide. There is a maze in the center outdoor area.
Staff are warm and courteous. There are several nice restaurants inside the hotel, and the Bibbidy Bobberdi Boutique is located in this hotel.
We had a nice stay.
