I rarely venture my way to the south of Hong Kong Island — maybe later once the MTR finally reaches that part of Hong Kong — yet, there was one time I went there and I came to a place called Chef Studio by Eddy. I do not know much about culinary and let’s face it, I can hardly scramble an egg. So when I heard about a restaurant that was named after a chef called Eddy, I was determined to figure this place out. My friend made a reservation a week ago(and I guess it is indeed a rather popular place?). Since it was located in one of those Industrial Buildings which I clearly had no idea about, I was having such mixed feeling at first not knowing if I have expected too much. And I have to say — nope. This is one hell of a private kitchen — in an excellent way. What I loved that evening the most was how approachable Eddy was, he is the guy on the cover and I was stunned how friendly and witty he is. I saw walls of photos, certificates and medals and I have to say, okay, this is got to be AMAZING — and YES it is. Remember I told you guys earlier I do not even know how to scramble an egg properly? Guess what, our first dish was a scrambled egg with smoked salmon.(In my face!?) I really do not know how he did it but the egg was the creamiest and smoothest I have ever tried in my entire life. We tried much more dishes afterwards but I have to say all set the bar very high and we were not disappointed at all!
