I had heard a lot about this chain restaurant so was looking forward to having lunch here. However, it was kind of a major let down. I had the lunch set of all-day breakfast(British-style), while my family ordered the Tiger prawns linguine. My breakfast was not great. Flavorless eggs and baked beans. The sausages were decent and a good size but were not cooked in a way that did justice to it. The brioche toast would have been good if it was buttered, and if I wasn’t such a dummy and poured the rose jelly all over it. That rose jelly was nasty. Service wasn’t the hottest either. I’m sure people who work the lunch and dinner rush at highly frequented restaurants do not have an easy job. But they at least could have given us our soups and salads in the proper set lunch order — BEFORE the main dishes — and not when a customer is wondering where they went when a couple of the main dishes suddenly appeared. The set lunch soup was just as nasty as the rose jelly, by the way. The coffee that came with the set lunch was good. That was probably the only saving grace in the meal. I wouldn’t recommend coming here again, unless one is only ordering coffee.

It was my first time visiting this particular Habitu and I have to say that it wasn’t worth my money nor my time. My mother and I were walking around in Festival Walk and we wanted to get something light to eat. We decided to try the Habitu here as we’ve never been before. We waited in line for about fifteen minutes before we were given a seat. Upon sitting, the waiter pointed to the plaque on the table, which was showing a ‘Charlie Brown special’ — pancakes with sausages with a hot cappuccino’ and said that this was a special item, and that he would recommend that we order this. I noticed that a lot of people were eating that too, but even though I was craving pancakes, I didn’t want to order this. It was $ 108 which to me is just overpriced. In the menu, I can pick one of the pancake options under ‘desserts’, order a cappuccino, and it would amount to much less than $ 108. I ordered one of the pancakes from the menu, but was told that they were ‘unavailable’. The waiter said that ‘for pancakes, we are only left with this one’, pointing at the Charlie Brown plaque. This seemed pretty ridiculous to me, because they’re all just pancakes. It was clear that they just wanted customers to order the overpriced set so they can earn more money. My mother told me not to bother and we ended up just getting that set and an additional hot latte. My cappuccino came with Charlie Brown on it drawn in chocolate powder, which I didn’t really like because it made my cappuccino really sweet. The pancakes were nothing special — average tasting — though I did quite like the sausage. Overall, my mother and I both regretted coming here. It was quite obvious they were just in it to make money. A lot of people around us were eating that Charlie Brown set, so I believe the manager instructed waiters to advise customers to order that and tell them that all other pancakes are unavailable. I won’t be returning again.
