Small place tucked away that you might miss unless you’re walking. Good sized portions, decent food. Got the potato chicken casserole lunch special for $ 8.95 that came with a choice of 2 sides which was absolute value for money. A good alternative to the overpriced touristy fare offered in the Condado area.

Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico
Small, cozy, and unpretentious, The Food Station raises the bar really high in this Santurce business area. Just a few doors down and accross from the Central High School building, it gives local food a big lift with its fine seasoning and sauces. A very savory chicken soup, followed by chicken in guava sauce and pork in tamarind sauce — both in the daily $ 8.95 specials — were excellent experiences.
There is paid parking right next door and the restaurant will cover one hour. Wine and beer are available, but you may want to skip the coffee.
Candy, the chef, finds the time to walk the tables and meet the guests. Many seemed well known regulars giving the place a family feeling. Well done!

This place is great if you’re looking for a «home cooked» meal. Everything was savory and delicious. Their prices are more than fair, i will definitely be coming back really soon!
