Came here after a long day walking around old San Juan. The place looked inviting and the décor on the walls looked great. They were out of several beers that I wanted but I finally found something to appease my thirst. I wasn’t all that hungry so I just settled on an appetizer of fish tacos. The fish was fried to a nice crisp and was coated with coleslaw with a mild amount of sweetness. The tortilla was very thin and fell apart as I tried to eat the taco. Overall the menu looked really good and the patrons who were dining seemed happy. I would definitely give this place a try just to taste some of the things on the menu-unfortunately I just wasn’t that hungry during my visit. If you’re in the area it’s prob worth a visit.

Awesome fish tacos and mimosas! Great views if you’re outside, great air conditioning inside. A cool vibe and place to grab lunch if you’re touring Old San Juan. The fish tacos were great! Plantain tostones were ok. Great sauces with both the tacos and plantains. Whatever the rice fried chicken bites are were really good too. The menu says they come with lettuce, but it’s just a garnish on the plate, not a salad, so be warned of that! The food wasn’t great by any means but it wasn’t bad, that’s why I’m giving three stars.

The location has a great view and the drink prices are reasonable, but I had to hunt down my server TWICE just to get the bill. Sorry, but I won’t be back

Stopped in for a quick lunch and drink before heading over to the fort. The service was a bit slow and I was underwhelmed by my salad but you can’t beat the location and the views! My piña colada was delicious and reasonably priced considering the location.

By the time we went there, we were forgotten outside! Regardless of how nice the place enterer design, we wanted to enjoy December’s afternoon weather. After few minutes of waiting, we went inside to inform someone about our existents, to have one of the slowest serves ever, even by islanders standards. We wanted to have energizing coffee and sweets, which they had many of them on their menu, but not in real! And no coffee what-so-ever!!!

This was a fairly good restaurant located in Viejo San Juan. I wouldn’t categorize it as authentic Puerto Rican cuisine however, but it was a good stop for a snack while touring Castillo San Felipe del Morro. The fish tacos in particular were very yummy. We also ordered eight jumbo shrimp which came in a large glass filled with a mysterious blue liquid on ice. We found out at the end of the meal that the mysterious blue liquid was actually alcoholic and drinkable. It was kind of an interesting choice to put the shrimp in the same class as an alcoholic beverage. The mojito’s and daiquiris were pretty good as well.

Great location and ambiance… very mediocre food. A bunch of us came here since they were running a coupon special… two mojitos and a tapas sampler of five items for only $ 16. The setting with the fort in front during sunset is hard to beat, but I thought the watermelon mojito tasted bad and chemically(others liked theirs). The tapas sampler was OK… I would characterize it as TGIF quality. But for $ 16 and the ambiance, I had no complaints. Not sure if I would have felt the same paying normal prices

I came in with a large group(25+ people) and they took really great care of us. They were well organized and responsive. I Have been there before and liked their food and drinks so well I brought a bunch of people and was happy they handled my group so well. Their food, drink, ambience, view of Fortaleza Morro and cinema experience is all terrific. Highly recommend!

A nice little cinema bar restaurant that was located right by one of the forts in old San Juan. It was nicely cool in here with hip music :-). We were quickly greeted and seated at the bar. Everyone that we spoke to Was able to speak English and were able to help us with the menu which was also in English. The ceviche I had was a very big portion and very good. It was made a little different and served with plantains. They also had fish tacos which were really good and only $ 8. The server was always checking up on us and was very nice. If I every go back to Puerto Rico I might just have to go back :-)

So glad we stopped in here for dinner before enjoying a free night at the Museo! The server was bright, friendly and fast! The Fish Tacos were excellent We ordered skirt steak and the fruita salad. Both very good! We sat outside on a nice quiet patio!

Didn’t enjoy their food at all. Great location would only recommend it for a beer due to the proximity to el Morro

After a very tiring excursion at the Morro, we stepped in this sort of kitschy-looking restaurant. We just planned to get some appetizers — which we did: the Surtido Jibaro appetizer sampler which was pretty good for the variety but some of the items like the stuffed tostones and the codfish balls were a little lukewarm and tasted a little bit stale. But we were tempted by the chef’s special country style rice. It was a paella-style dish which was DELICIOUS. The rice was very moist with an abundance of meats and beans. My boyfriend and I weren’t too hungry but we just devoured this dish and finished every morsel… which led to us discovering… A piece of brillo pad stuck on the dish. My boyfriend and I aren’t picky eaters and we rarely complain. We brushed the little booboo off and just marveled about the great flavor of the rice that we had just finished. He even said that if I didn’t point it out, he would have eaten the brillo pad as if it was a piece of parsley or something. We let the server know, just to inform them so they could avoid this in the future. They gave us a piece of cheesecake on the house which was unnecessary(since we literally ate the whole rice dish anyway), but greatly appreciated. They apologized and acknowledged their mistake — which is the most important thing. Will be a place I’ll always go back to whenever I go to PR.

Stopped for lunch on a VERY hot day — it was so cool inside, maybe this review is biased by being comfortable for an hour, but it is visually a fantastic room with high beamed ceilings, stained glass, and all kinds of movie kitsch and photos. Had a light lunch with salads and some salted cod fritters which were excellent. Very friendly staff offered to take pictures of us yet didn’t make us feel like tourists, which everyone who visits this place probably is. On the North side of Viejo San Juan which does not have nearly the restaurant concentration of the other parts of the old town, so it’s slightly off the beaten path, if that can be said for any place right next door to the huge park between the city and Castillo del Morro. Muchos gracias.

This place has great food. I love love the sample Puerto Rican platter we had which was a sample of everything. The only down side to everything was they weren’t showing any movies so we couldn’t see one but still a cool place to go to and eat and drink. The inside is cool and vintage looking too.

Bad experience. Wait a lot to be served. The host never comunicate with waitress to attend our table so we wait about 55 minutes to get our first round of mojitos. Mojitos were inferior in quality compared to many normal places where mojitos are seeved in San Juan. They never took our order and when we call waitress again to claim about our order, she respond in a bad acttitude that she did not know we wanted to order food(incredible!). Food arrive about 1 hour and 45 minutes later and it was not appear fresh food(sampler of 5 tapas’). Later we required to speak with the manager and they ignore such request. The manager was nice and apologize for the inconvenience..

Wow! This place was fun. My boyfriend and I were heading back to our car from a night stroll over by El Morro when we saw this place. It’s located in a large building where the Museum is also located. The building at night is lit up with different colors. It definitely cannot be missed. We came here on a Saturday night. I was hesitant at first because this screamed tourist spot to me and didn’t want to pay tourist prices. When we walked in, the servers were so eager to have us as a guest and claimed to have«The Best Mojitos on the island.» I took a look at the menu, pricy by Puerto Rico standards, but still cheaper than a bar in LA, so we gave it a whirl. So glad we did! This place is so COOL. It has a 50’s theme. The walls are adorned with photos of famous Puerto Ricans in music and film. Being a proud Puerto Rican myself, I absolutely loved that part. There was a dj playing great salsa classics and he would often accompany the song with his maraca, conga or cowbell playing. There was a small space to dance should you feel the urge. My boyfriend and I did. The music was so good! Now on to the mojitos: I ordered a coconut and my boyfriend ordered the classic. And I can’t say they were the best on the island, but they sure were freaking good. I’ve never even thought of a coconut mojito before, but now I want one all the time! And for 8 bucks each, not shabby at all. For food, I ordered the croquetas and my bf The Yunque burger. The croquetas came out looking super fancy, but they were super delicious so I wasn’t complaining. They’re a small plate though, which is what I was expecting. I wasn’t that hungry. My boyfriend raved about his burger. It came with platano maduro on it and now he can’t stop talking about making burgers at home and putting plantains on them. We topped off everything with the coconut flan for dessert and it did not disappoint. We had a super fun night. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome and drinks were delish and certainly did the trick. Our server was super nice and they seemed to all speak English(even though we spoke in Spanish). When it was time to leave, we walked over to this plaza in the middle of the building that is lit up like the outside and took some pictures. It is really a pretty building. I would definitely suggest ending a night here after a long day of shopping or sightseeing in Old San Juan. I was pleasantly surprised by this place and will make an effort to return when I’m back in PR.
