I’m reviewing the restaurant which is in el caminito(I think). The guaguita(truck) is in front of the Inter Americana and I think the restaurant is owned by the same people who own the guaguita. Well both the guaguita and restaurant are AMAZING! I’m originally from CA and I’ve tried A LOT of Mexican food and lets just say I was pretty impressed with the quality and taste of both the truck and the restaurant’s food. I love the pork tacos with pineapples on top and they have a spicy green sauce which goes along perfectly with the tacos adding a spicy kick to them. I also have gotten the bean soup which comes with the option of pork or shredded chicken or simply just beans and melted cheese. It makes me hungry just recalling it. The restaurant is small, nothing fancy but you immediately get seated and they start you of with nacho chips and a bean dip. The food comes quickly and while you’re waiting you’re enjoying the free chips and bean dip. The burritos are big and stuffed with a lot of rice, beans and meat(at least when I had mine). I would definitely say that their places offer the best Mexican tacos on the island. Def recommend this place!

Last night, I bought a couple beef tacos with cheese for my kids as I was making my annual visit to Puerto Rico’s food trucks. My kids did not want the tacos, however. So I tasted one and the flavor of the beef was kind of disgusting. Gross! Even the cheddar cheese couldn’t mask the flavor of the yucky beef. That was odd! I expected really good food from this truck based on a previous visit, but I was wrong. I’ll try it again next year, but hopefully, I’ll remember to buy the chicken burrito. I do not recommend the tacos.

This is NOT La guaguita in front of the university– this one is by Caimito– but from the same people as the food truck in front of UPR. I recommend it to anyone looking for fresh tacos. My favorite were the chicken tacos(al pastor). Everyone raved about the pork tacos(al pastor) but chicken was definitely Better(because the pork meat was a bit chewy). I personally prefer Aurorita’s or Margarita’s for Mexican Pico de gallo and refritos(refried beans) but these tacos are more authentic and well-priced. Great for a fast take out!

This is not located at Ave. Pinero!!! This app has almost all places mixed up!!! El Trompo is the best place to eat in PR for sure!!! But the cart is located right in front of Universidad Interamericana and their restaurant is located next to Supermercado Morales in Caimito.

Great tacos! This was exactly what we were looking for last night… and clearly we weren’t alone — the line at 10pm was at least 3 or 4 deep, people in tshirts, dress shirts and even cops. Clearly, this truck is the spot for after-hours food. The tacos de pollo were some of the better ones I’ve had in a long time — piled high with meat and fresh ingredients. So good that I’m jonesin’ for another one right now…

Open 7 days a week, You can find Mexican tacos(chicken and al pastor beef) pretty late at night. They also serve the best frijoles soup. It’s the palace to stop if You are in the area and in need of some good munchies.
