Sushi are mediocre service was little slow but, you can’t expect much here either, havnt tried their Chinese dishes.

The place was great but expensive I went to take my son and he loved it think about it they even sell the japanese sushi dish unagi which is eel he wants to go again but i told him that he could go once a month hes gone 2 times the first time he ordered tuna sushi and sake salmon sushi) that type of sushi the second time he had tamago (egg custard) sushi and takoたこ(octopus)sushi which was the time his mom took him. next time he wants to try the unagi (eel) sushi and shrimp sushi and their fried cheese cake was very good all i had was the sapporo beer which is the best beer from japan. when he went with his mom he and his mom had the shrimp tempura and my son had the egg and octopus sushi which was the second time he went.

Some of the dishes are just terrible. I did like some of the sushi like the tempura but the other one I tried were expensive and mostly tasteless. The staff is mostly nice so that’s a plus. We don’t have that many restaurants that make sushi here in Ponce but this one is still probably at the top in that’s places of you want to eat some sushi. Nothing that will blow your mind but acceptable.

Excellent variety of Sushi and combinations. I loved the creativity of chef. They also have a menu from Thai food. In short the experience was amazing.

We went here expecting the best, instead we got a soup that was water and vegetables. For the next course we got sushi, tuna and eel rolls. The spicy tuna was done with spicy mayo (it doesn’t resemble the spicy tuna that I know). And for the eel, it was okay. The only good thing was the vegetable roll. I wish that they put more emphasis on the Asian food experience, that way their place would be packed!

This is not really a sushi bar, it is a pan-​Asian restaurant. Aside from sushi you can also order Chinese and Thai dishes. Quality is what you would typically expect to find in shopping-​mall-​type Asian restaurants. Not bad if you are craving American style Chinese food, not excellent for sushi.

Sushi it’s amazing. I ordered to go. This is my second time eating here and the service and food it’s really good if you are going to order to go, call (787) 841‑4422. In 15 min they had my sushi ready to go. I will definitely recommend this place.

I’ve had mall sushi that was fresher and more delicious than Izumi’s sushi. I was very disappointed in the poor quality of the fish. When you’re on an island surrounded by marine life you’d think the fish would be fresher. Equally disappointing is the price for a majority of the rolls, which go as high as $ 16 a pop. I stuck with the moderately priced spicy salmon and spicy tuna and two pieces of salmon sushi. If you can’t get those right, basic sushi staples, then don’t sell sushi. The service was great, our server was very nice and accommodating and thus deserving two stars. Otherwise, Izumi is very lackluster.

The food and ser vice was excellent. I ordered tuna sashimi an the fish melts in your mouth. The buddas delight veggie was good, the sungapore moodles and chefs lo mein was very tasty and delicious. The only reason i rated 4 stars because the fortune cookie was stale.

My review IS NOT about Izumi Sushi. It is about the anex Izumi Chinese Restaurant. Great place, great prices and great food. There is not need to keep visiting the dirty chinese restaurants in the area. This one is clean, has fast service and the food is better. Even the mofongo puts some Puerto Rican chinchorros to shame. Try it and you will see.

One of my new favorite places to go for lunch. It was time for ponce to have sushi… Great food, fresh and delicious. New york prices but considering how expensive groceries are here, then not so bad. Love it… If you are in ponce and in the mood for sushi this is your place…
