Guides were great. They make you feel comfortable. Funny. Everyone should experience. The Beast(La Bestia) is expensive if you only do it by itself but combined with the other zip line tour it’s well worth it. I mean when do you get to literally fly through the trees face down through open air in the middle of the mountains. You can see the river below and the vistas are amazing! Super high up at 1000 feet and 1 mile long making it the longest zip line in the world! I would definitely go back to do the other two tours. I believe there are four tours total. The restaurant on top of building was great, those from our group not interested in zip lining said it was beautiful up there and food was good too. Highly recommended. They also sell t shirts which were nice. All I wish is that they give you some water while doing the tours I got very thirsty.

Ziplining was a bucket list item for my friend and I, so we decided we just had to do it on our trip to Puerto Rico. I thought Toroverde was great! First of all, this is almost a two hour drive(even with a GPS we got a bit lost, but nothing major), but definitely give yourself extra time to get there. The drive on the winding mountain roads is definitely the start of the adventure!(My only other piece of advice other than giving yourself time for the drive is to wear longer shorts or capris so that the straps for the gear don’t ride up, one of the girls in our group kept having to adjust that with her shorts). We did the Wild Bull suspension bridges followed by the Beast zipline. We had made reservations about a month ahead of time, which I would recommend. We had never done suspension bridges or ziplined, so we didn’t know what to expect… but we both have a huge fear of heights, and we were able to complete everything. The guides were wonderful and made us feel very safe and reassured. They were fun too with giving us a bit of a hard time, and everyone in the group that we were with enjoyed talking to them. There were five bridges(one that you free fall rapple down the middle of), and ended with a half-mile zipline which was great! After that we did the Beast zipline, which is a mile long. It was a bit windy that day, so most of the people got stuck near the end, but nothing too terrifying, they came and helped us, and a few were able to just pull themselves a few feet to the end. There’s not much that can be done about that and despite our fear of heights we didnt feel scared about it at all when it happened. The views from that height are just amazing. The trees, the river, the mountains, and the view of the sea in the distance was all wonderful!!! I would come back to Toroverde for sure(in fact, they were building another zipline, which I understood was going to be even longer than the Beast, so that’s one I will have to conquer next time!!!) Big thanks to a wonderful tour group and great guides… and I’m glad it wasn’t right by San Juan, so that people have the opportunity to see other beautiful parts of Puerto Rico! We also stopped upstairs afterwards to get a meal and the restaurant was nice. Beautiful views, friendly staff, and very good food. I had ordered the Verde Luz salad and it was one of the best salads I’ve ever had, with a passion fruit vinaigrette that was just amazing!

By far the best zip lining tour I’ve been in. The length and heights are amazing. The last one called the Beast has to be the highest Zipline I’ve ever seen. Even the food they provided as part of the tour was delicious!

To mimic most of the other reviews, this is a great adventure! The drive starts the adventure. I did the zip lines a few years ago which were awesome. The best I’ve been on to date. This time I did the Wild Bull course which was equally great. The guides are always superb! Each course will likely take you at least 1.5 hours to complete. The zip lines are probably a minimum of a 15 second ride each, with many being longer. My single complaint is disorganization. I booked myself for the Wild Bull and two family members for the zip lines. The zip lines don’t have set times but the Wild Bull has 9:00 or 2:00 so I booked it for 2:00. I received a confirmation email stating we needed to be in the park between 9:00 — 12:00. I responded that we were hoping to do our adventures approximately the same time so could we arrive later around 1:30. The response was still be in the park between 9:00 — 12:00. So we made sure to arrive at 11:30. We then waited until 1:30 before they started the zip line group. No groups went out between our arrival and 1:30 so we spent two hours of our vacation standing around. We would have loved to stop at some of the towns on the drive up. There also is no announcement when they are starting to hook people up someone sure you’re keeping a close eye on the equipment area. Definitely worth the money, but they can work on communication a bit.

Honestly it was kind of hard to get to the places, direcctions and gps were a little off. But it was still a fun experience, the tours are fun, working crew interacts with you and takes pics and videos for you. Really fun thing to do!

Warning: the drive up is not for the faint of heart — lots of turns, very narrow roads, and minimal mirrors to help navigate those turns! However, once at Toroverde, visitors will find a fairly well-established business with plenty of visitors(during the drive up the mountain, it is easy to become doubtful that the drive up will amount to anything), both of the tourist-type and local Puerto Ricans. Worth it: — package including The Beast and Wild Bull — the view from the restaurant on the second floor — great tour guides during any part of the visit Confusing: Sometimes it is unclear what the process is as visitors are waiting for their turn, so make sure to be proactive. Currently, the Wild Bull, a series of both swinging bridges and zip lines, offers two runs a day(9am and 2pm), so make sure to book and plan in advance. The Beast is the one zipline where you«fly» facedown on your stomach and enjoy a scenic trip from one side to the other. The tour guides will shuttle you up to the launch site where there is likely a bit of a wait before your zipline takeoff. Bottom line: Enjoy and make sure to ask questions if unsure about anything!

Had an awesome experience! We had the best tour guides! Funny and professional! They let us know which lines were gonna be fast and how to sit so we could reach max speed!(For those adrenal junkies like me.) You hike to each line so make sure you bring water and sun screen, and sunglasses! I brought a little sling pouch purse worked great to hold my phone and water. A small back pack would be ideal. After the lines u take a pickup truck ride back which is a nice scenery ride. We left a tip for our tour guys bc we had a great time.

It was okay, I would recommend doing the two tours or the 8 ones instead of the beast. The beast is overrated by itself for the price. It’s about a minute of your life for 80.00. The people were extremely nice. The empanadas in the restaurant were all dough no meat-don’t bother. Overall it was fun, but only like 50.00 worth. See if you can get a deal. We drove, it was out of the way but easy to get to-no signage on the way so make sure you have a gps.

Here’s something I will admit… I’m scared of heights! Yes, I’ve done skydiving but, still afraid of heights. Just as that one time that I jumped off a plane, I pushed myself, to leave my fear behind and decided to go ziplining. I was with my sister in PR, and out of nowhere I said«I think I want to do ziplining». She looked at me in disbelief, but immediately started making plans with her friend, I think part of it was her wanting to do it too, and part of it, acting quickly before I lost my «courage». Still she kept looking at me, wondering if I’d really do it. She paid, and said, «there’s no turning back…» with a smile and concern at the same time. We drove the 2.5 — 3 hours it took for us to get to Orocovis. Lots of up curvy roads, no signs… thank God for smart phones and GPS! We did not get lost at all. First of all, the view is amazing from up here. Take a moment before or after you do the lines to enjoy it. Once inside, they give you a waiver, you sign your life away. My sister’s friend read it, the part I remember her saying is «basically you can’t complaint or sue period, even if 3 months after this you’re still having issues, pains, nightmare or trauma… nothing. I could only LOL, I mean, if I’m going ahead with these types of activities, the phrase«ignorance is bliss» always comes to mind. The less I know the less paranoid I get. So, I signed, I got my number and waited to get harnessed. Once you have all your equipment, they send you off a trail, where after 5 minutes(if it takes you longer«you got lost or are going to slow» their words, not mine) you will find your first line. Yes, I got nervous, and my sister gave me that disbelief look again but I stood my ground and stepped on the platform. Not defying her look but my fear. I can do this, I thought, especially when right in front of us was a 96 year old man, ready to jump off that platform. Courage don’t fail me now, I thought… Would be very embarrassing to back down now. My turn, hands shaking a little, and listening real close to the instructions. Down that first line I went and the feeling was incredible! This was a short one so, great way to start and ease your way to the next 7 that await. The guys working the lines are really cool. They make you feel comfortable and safe. They make fun of you(nicely) if they see you nervous, helping you laugh and forget your fear. Plus, just like one of them said«none complain if they fall»… Ha! Ha! Very funny! Not! Line after line, they kept getting longer and harder to control. The wind started getting strong against us so, the challenge of getting to the end of each one, without having to pull yourself, was tougher but we were up for it and succeeded in most of them. On the ones that we got stuck, we still felt safe, and just pulled ourselves to the end. This is a workout! but, if you get too tired or can’t make it, one of the guys will come get you and help. Towards the 8th and last line, there’s a steep path you need to go up. Some, might have to skip this(due to health or physical impediments), and get off on the 6th line, but my sister and I went together and almost simultaneously did our last line. Funny thing, we both got stuck on this one. Even after the strenuous effort of working against the wind and pulling ourselves to the platform, we both were smiling and so happy we had this experience together. At the end we went back to where we started, to the restaurant upstairs. The service here is a little slow but friendly, and food is delicious. Plus, again, the view is priceless. This is, without a doubt, a must do in Puerto Rico.

WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER !! Bait and switch at its best. We called to make a reservation and asked pertinent questions such as: 1. Price? -$ 75 and up 2. How long the zip line experience was? –45 min or longer 3. I had a 6 yr old with me so we asked if he could do it also. Told he had to meet height req of 4 feet We get there after a 2 hour drive from San Juan to be told my son who is right under 4 feet could not ride so we had to take turns watching him while the other person went. This is where the madness begins… WEPAID $ 145ANDTHEZIPLINEWASONLY15SECONDSLONG !! WHHHAAAATT !! We asked what happened to the 45 min or longer zip lining and we were told the zip line experience is the drive in the back of a pickup truck and the wait to get picked up at the bottom. Reeeaaaallly!!! So hey if you enjoy giving away your money($ 145 for a 15 sec ride) then this is the place for you! Beware they will not be honest at any point and when you try to talk to a manager they basically shrug it off! It pains me because I’m from Puerto Rico. I want nothing but praise for this place and especially when the economy is so poor here. But come on how do you expect to treat visitors to your country like this and expect them to come back or recommend this place!

I had never been on a zip line before so when we decided to vacation in San Juan, we were told we had to go to Toro Verde and ride«The Beast.» After care ful research(and prayer) I decided to take the plunge and I am so glad I did. The Beast is nearly one mile long and just under 900 feet off the forest floor. The speeds can reach up to 65MPH so all of this can be a little scary. However, Toro Verde has gone the extra step to ensure your safety with doubling the cables you ride on, the number of straps you are tied into and the aircraft pulleys they use to roll you across the cables. They are very professional and safety is their first priority. They offer transportation but honestly, the drive was not bad. The last 10 miles on PR155 was winding and a little hairy to drive but take your time and pay close attention to the other traffic. They are the what makes this drive the most risky. Overall, I can’t offer a single complaint except I wish I had spent the day there doing the other 8 zip lines and their swing bridges. This should be a top destination for you if you are a thrill seeker and you have a day to spend there. If you just want to do The Beast, you can do the round trip in 4 hours from San Juan. Enjoy; I sure did!

Amazing experience, totally worth the $! We were picked up at our hotel at about 8am by Jerry — driver & tour guide(didn’t expect the PR history lesson on the ride to Toroverde but it was pretty informative… don’t expect to get any sleep either, he goes on and on and on. loudly lol) Anyway, on to the zip lining: It was our first time doing this so I was definitely nervous. There are about 9 lines and they’re all pretty long with beautiful views, craaaazy high in the mountains! The last one is La Bestia, you lay flat on your stomach and it literally feels like flying. Once you do the first line the fear is gone & it’s pure bliss. So much fun! I did get stuck on about 3 lines(I’m petite, the more you weigh the faster you’ll go) and had to wait a few minutes(no longer than 3min) for them to come pull me out. If you’re really scared of heights then this might be an issue for you since you’ll be hanging thousands of feet in the air… just you… and your thoughts… I thought«this is awesome!!» lol My recommendation is to look around, DON’T CLOSEYOUREYES, and take in the beautiful view because that’s the best part. Also, make sure to dress comfortably.

Pretty darned awesome! 1) They picked us up from our hotel promptly. 2) Jerry, the driver, was super friendly and knowledgeable. He was more like a tour guide and goodwill ambassador! 3) The bus was clean and well-maintained 4) At the location, the level of organization was high, and we were set up with gear very quickly and efficiently. 5) The gear was clean and well-maintained. 6) There were a lot of zip-lines to go on. 7) The cables were pristine and the staff of both ends maintained safety standards for the whole group. 8) The location was beautiful. 9) The zip-line stations were close enough together that none of the hiking turned into a slog. 10) The Beast was super fun, super long, super fast, and totally worth it. 11) They fed us afterwards… and it was really good. Also, the fritters in the café were all fresh and tasty, too. This was a great experience.

Exceeded all expectations!!! We stayed in Fajardo(on the east coast) not far from El Yunque where there were closer opportunities to zip line. We decided however to choose Toro Verde. I’m so happy we did! It was absolutely amazing! The view was stunning, the zip lining was AWESOME, and the guides were super nice! It was worth the 2 hour drive. The zip line consisted of 8 different canopies of various speed and length. We also did La Bestia, a zip line where you lay on your stomach and fly across. La Bestia is almost 1 mile long with speeds around 60 mph! EXHILARATING! The facility was very clean and offered a little café for snacks. There was also a restaurant upstairs overlooking the nature park, but it was closed in the morning. The only downfall was trying to find Toro Verde. We drove ourselves, and cell service was spotty, so our map wasn’t always available. There were signs stapled to trees every few miles, but they weren’t very big and easy to miss, nor did they not offer any idea of distance. We often questioned whether or not we passed a turn off . Well worth the drive and money. Fun for the entire family!

This was so unexpected and fun. I had no idea that we would do 8 zip linings and it was so high up in the mountains so I was definitely caught by surprise! But I loved it! Staff was great and the day was very clear so you could see far into the ocean. The only time I felt scared was when I got stuck a few meters prior to the arriving at the other side and I had to use my hands to get to safety(I was so scared) but staff helped and on the last zip line one person from the staff went with me. The reason I got stuck was because I don’t weight a lot so I didn’t pick up on speed on a track that was almost flat. Still had lots of fun! And oh the ride back to the top of the mountain on the back of their truck is pretty wild!

Came here on my last day in Puerto Rico for some adrenaline rush ziplining :) For $ 150 and some change we got to ride 8 different zip lines(differ in speed, lenght and height drop) plus«La Bestia»(the beast) which is the one that you fly like a bird. Included in our price was transportation from our San Juan hotel to the park which is a 2 hour drive away. Overall experience was pretty positive, ziplining is fun! When they picked us up you ride along with other people(about a group of 12 – 15) so the van does multiple stops and our driver got lost a few times, that’s probably the only negative thing I can say about the experience oh and the fact the driver was playing kinda loud music on the way to the park and back… I mean if you are in the back of the van like we were then you may get annoyed like I was. Although we got the $ 150 package I think I had more fun doing the 8 different zip lines(I would skip«La Bestia» but that’s just me)… When you come here, expect to wait a long time since you need to wait for your entire group(about 15 ppl) to get to the other end before you start the next zip line. Also at the end of the tour they will give you a free drink and a sandwich, they picked us up at 8am, we got to the park around 10:30am, started zip lining around 11ish AM were done with all by 3:30pm and left the park at 4pm to get dropped off at the same pick up location.

Toroverde Adventure Park was better than expected. Seriously the most thrilling thing I have ever done. The only thing is the directions to get here. We drove from Isla Verde/San Juan via the 26 Highway. There needs to be signs along the 55 route up the mountain/forest to make it easier for tourists. I guess if you live in PR you know your way around but Google maps and GPS just doesn’t work out in this region. My cousins and I had a wonderful time, 8 zip lines and spectacular views all around, well worth the money and an experience of a lifetime! If you are in Octavis or visiting Puerto Rico, go and get your adrenaline going!!! :)

This was the best part of our trip to PR. We went for the ziplining and La Bestia. Both parts were amazing. Make a reservation and try to go early in the morning so there are no lines. Bring a rain jacket if you can as it tends to rain in the mornings up there(you will quickly notice all the staff are wearing them) and long sleeves as it can be chilly until the sun comes out. Definitely wear hiking boots if you have them as the trail up to the zip lines can get slippery. The views are amazing and the thrills are fantastic. Definitely not for the faint of heart. If you bring a go pro ask for a helmet that has a mount(they have a few for people who ask for them). The restaurant is a hidden gem as well! We got the pasteles(AMAZING) and the appetizer sampler(also delicious. Worth every penny :)

This review is for the restaurant. Toroverde Restaurant is excellent! The view is amazing and the mojitos are the best. I had a passion mojito and my boyfriend a regular one, both delicious. The food is great and the mofongo looks amazing although this time I did not have the chance to try one because we only stop by for a drink a small dishes. Everthing looked very boricua with a creative presentation. I can’t wait to go back to the Island and have a great dinner at that restaurant.
