My husband and I enjoyed an amazing dinner last evening. We had the special which was a whole deep fried red snapper stuffed with lobster shrimp mussels and vegetables. It was delicious! Our server Juan Carlos added to the enjoyment of our meal!

So good we ate here twice in our one week trip! Our favorite things about the restaurant: — Close to El Conquistador. Lots of restaurants are in Luquillo which is about 25 minutes away, but this is less than 10 minutes from leaving the lobby. — Delicious food! Loved the shrimp mofongo with creole sauce, lobster mofongo with creole sauce, surf and turf with tamarind sauce, and crab cream bisque. — Kids menu! Good for our kids who want to eat their own thing. My 5 year old loved the churrasquito with fried bananas. — Indoor restaurant. Good for my kids who attract mosquito bites. — Fast and friendly service. Some restaurants were great but we waited 30 minutes or more after ordering for our food to arrive. Not a big deal for grownups but a bit hard for my 2 and 5 year old.

When we got in, the waitstaff was incredibly polite and helpful. But more than that, the food was spectacular. The other reviewers talk about the mofongo, and you should listen. I had the lobster in garlic sauce in a literally perfect bowl of mofongo(plaintains)…not starchy, not greasy. My kids made me share. The salad was perfectly light and crisp, with a beautiful smooth raspberry vinaigrette made by the pastry chef. The fruits and toppings were perfectly ripe, and made a lovely contrast to the lettuce. It was a nice option for vegetarians. The kids skirt steak option was fantastic. The grill marks were perfect and the center was juicy and tender. Make time to get here for an upscale and completely Puerto Rican dining experience!

Probably one of the best restaurant in Puerto Rico. The service is great and the food is outstanding. If you can’t stand mofongo, arroz y habichuelas anymore, go to this place. The taste and experience are very different. They also offer an amazing snapper and a great crab cake with tartar sauce. The desserts are also very generous: large chocolate lava cake and outstanding ice cream. The devil is in the detail and it is worth the price. Open at any time.

Outstanding cuisine! We dined here two nights of our 6 night trip because the food is that good. The snapper with creole sauce was superb and the skirt steak was the most tender I’ve had anywhere. Appetizers were delicious too, stuffed piquillo peppers, blood sausage, crabmeat stuffed banana. Desserts are wonderful!

Vegetarian-They didn’t have much in vegetarian options. The chef offered to cook fresh momfungo(crushed sweet plantain with veggies) and pasta. We went for mofungo and fried green plantain ‘tostones’.The later was too small in serving size. What really lit my eyes up is their desserts — I tried banana almond three milk cake with guava and caramel sauce. Simply mind-blowing!5 stars just for that! ;)

I wish i found this place earlier. Food was beyond my expectations. Grouper stuffed with shrimp and lobster with garlic sauce practically melts in your mouth. Staff is very well trained and knowledgable. The restaurant is usually crowded and lively comparing to other authentic food places. This is a place to go!

This is an upscale dining experience. I give this a 5 because not only is the food delicious, for the area it is one of the only places around that offers this type of experience . Keep in mind they are only open certain days . The presentation of the food is divine. You feel like you are back in the states at a Reasturant in New York ! We stayed at conquistador which we hated the food on resort and nicely this Reasturant is down the road. A true gem . The service is all for your needs, they are welcoming inviting . The Reasturant is clean, and all over the walls are the awards they have won . I can not wait to return.

We had a chance to visit this place on Christmas Day! We ordered Red Snapper stuffed with shrimp and lobster. It was freshly caught and the food was delicious. It was just perfect way to end the day with fabulous dinner. I would highly recommend Visiting this place in your stay at least once. P. S. Little over priced though!

Ordered monfongo fish fillet with creole sauce and fried fish stuffed with conch, garlic sauce. For both these dishes, the first bite was spectacular but once you chew for a bit it actually tastes very bland. Very odd, I’ve rarely encountered a dish that tastes good on the first bite but doesn’t taste good on the last.

Great place in the middle of no-where! The GPS did not recognized the name not the address, but Google Maps on smartphone did! Started our meal with the salad of the day, and then each one of us had a different order of mofongo: chicken with creamy sauce, fish with PR sauce, and vegetable one. Our server advised us not to order sides, we were happy that we listened to him. They came in this interesting presentation of wooden bowl, and all of them were flavorful, rich, and satisfying. The servers were helpful, patient, and friendly.

Es como ir a la segura… Servicio perfecto + comida perfecta, el churrasco de salsa de tamarindo es tremendo, el arroz con pollo es riquísimo y el pescado relleno es espectacular. No olviden la sopa de malanga, un sueño

We were staying at a local resort, El Conquistador, and seeking a dinner option off«campus». A hotel employee’s suggestion, and Unilocal reviews, led us to Pasión. Our waiter Bryan was very attentive and educated on the menu and options for each dish. He made suggestions for the lobster, as well as the whole fried fish, which were both phenomenal. They both tasted fresh, savory, and offered plenty of food for your buck. My sister and a friend indulged in a juicy, two pound lobster which was pre-sliced for them to share. I personally ordered a local catch, fried and the small was very filling(see the image for size reference). The rice and bean sides brought me fond memories of my grandmother’s cooking. My family thoroughly enjoyed their meals from the lobster to the skirt steak to the desserts. They were all delicious and very pleasing. Definitely a great place to experience delicious, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and fresh seafood. PS The celebration the wait staff puts on for a birthday is definitely a fun, music filled experience. It lent a fun moment to watch as we enjoyed our delicious desserts.

This place was great from start to finish! Everyone was so welcoming the second we walked in, from the moment we walked out. The service is great, as well as the food. This place was pretty full for a Sunday night. We tried the fried cheese, calamari, monfongo and red snapper! They all were great and appetizing. You should shoot for the fried cheesecake. Get both guava and Carmel sauce and you won’t be disappointed. This was one of the best meals we’ve had this trip!

a welcome departure from hotel food at El Conquistador Not a fancy look on the outside, just a store front along the road but inside, comfortable and busy with the the local residents — a good sign! Fresh and local fish, with meats and lots of veggie choices. Some local classic preparations but also a refreshed approach to each dish. A good wine list too for both white and red devotees. Staff was very attentive and friendly, with recommendations and helpful advice regarding local dishes

Huge selection of typical Puerto Rican dishes, very friendly staff and clean restaurant. A bit pricey for the area but worth it for the amount of food. Delicious lobster mofongo, steak and shrimp and the best flan I’ve had in PR yet. We had a very hard time finding a taxi back to the place we were staying and the kind staff even ordered us a ride. Highly recommend!

Just a 5 mins drive from El Conquistador. The Red Snapper stuffed with conch and shrimp was outstanding. Skirt Steak with chimichurri was perfect… Super tender! Calamari was flaky crispy… Almost like french fries. The passionfruit sauce was incredible. Try the passionfruit sangria as well. Great if you are looking for a more formal angle on Puerto Rican food!

Great atmosphere! Great food. They lost a star because the service was slow. The mofongo was good to say I’ve never had it before but the stuffed grouper with lobster and shrimp with the garlic cream sauce gets 10 stars from me. Didn’t have room for dessert but will try next time. Must visit if you are in faredo, PR

Had dinner here yesterday and although the service was great(Brian) was very attentive and able to explain the menu well. The food was just OK the highlight was the crab and lobster bisque. We also had the calamari which was different since the rings were cut so it was more like fries. The shrimp and lobster mofongo was recommended and the seafood filling was great with the garlic sauce but the plantain fell flat no sweetness as I was hoping. Drinks were pretty good, we shared a pitcher of white sangria and although it lacked the wine flavor it delivered on the sweetness.
