They must not have rinsed their cutting board well tonight, because some of our pieces tasted like soap. The rest were fine, but it ruined our meal. We let the manager know and he eventually reduced our bill. Hopefully it was a just one time mistake.

I’ve got to say the service at this place was impeccable. We are visiting in Porto in the off-season(March) so there are hardly any tourists around and everything is pretty desolate. I bet this place is packed in the summer. The miso soup was incredible, very unique! The sushi on the other hand was kind of disappointing. We got a 20pc platter to share between two of us and it was not that satisfying for the price of € 28. There was something funky about the rice they used — like it was not real sticky rice. But then again I’m a bit of a sushi snob from growing up in the Bay Area(San Francisco, CA). The waiters were very attentive and spoke English. The food was brought quickly. The white wine was € 2.80 per glass. The dessert was DELISH — kind of made up for the meh sushi… We got a mini warm chocolate cake served w a scoop of poppy seed ice cream. YUM. For 2 of us the total bill was € 50 … A little pricier than I would have liked. I was very annoyed they charged us for this nasty appetizer that they brought to every table the moment we sat down that we assumed was complimentary/on the house… It was literally cold tempura shit and gross fish that we didn’t touch. But whatever, note to self, tell them you don’t want it! But it’s only 4 euro so if that doesn’t bother you than whatevs. The atmosphere and view were great!
