Terrible food! Way over priced! These guys should go to a truly wonderful restaurant such as «Open» restaurant in Inspire Hotel. On arrival at La Paparrucha there was a basket of bread, very common in any restaurant esp in Europe. Also 3 slides of salami, 3 slices of cheese, small bowl of olive tapenade and a small bowl of some white spread(tasted like cheese and onion?) We placed our order and my steak was tough. Hard to explain. Just a lot of sinue or gristle? Just well below average for what they were asking I thought and after eating our meal simply wanted to leave. That’s when we realised the items on the table, that we didn’t ask and thought they were complementary, were not complementary. There was several additions on our bill and when we questioned it we were told«This is normal in Portugal» «We put it out before you arrived, you ate it and you pay». Let me tell you this is not normal to give customers something they didn’t ask for and add it to the bill. Not only is it not normal, based on our experience of 6 plus restaurants that we visited since being here, it’s not normal after discussing this with others that are local to Portugal. Terrible restaurant.. The food was below average and expecting top dollar and then trying to say this is «normal» in Portugal! Really nothing to get excited about an Avoid at all cost, unless of course you like below average food and enjoy paying top dollar with additions you didn’t ask for. Truly the 6 weeks of travelling through Europe has been such a gastronomic delight. Every restaurant through Paris and Spain has been beyond outstanding however, this restaurant was a massive disappointment.

Amazing views over the city. But service was poor, and food was barely ok. We ordered the steak for two which came out on a platter with coals under it. So even though we had ordered it medium rare by the time it came to our table some cuts were were medium well to well done. The server did not carve the meat for us and when we asked them to he clumsily proceeded to do so with a puny knife on the charcoal-heated platter — during which exercise he splashed the juice all over my shirt. When we showed him that the steak was well-done he played Chinese whisper with two other servers and the maitre’d so we had to explain to each of them what the issue was. The maitre’d even argued with us that the steak was rare when it was clear that it was not. Annoying! The sent us replacement — we asked for it to be carved in the kitchen and put on plates instead of on the charcola platter thingy — took us a few attempts to explain that charcoal under a platter will only keep cooking the steak. Eventually, of the three cuts of meat that we were served on or plates, only two were good. The third was gristly. Not sure if they were having a bad day or we are picky eaters but given that we spent € 100, would have expected at least a decent steak. Disappointing!

La vue est superbe. La viande de très bonne qualité. Le vin qui nous a été suggéré était aussi un très bon rapport qualité prix. Un peu d’attente dans l’entrée alors que des tables semblaient libres. Finalement, nous avons dîné dans la salle fumeur… Mais c’était Ok.

It was our last evening in Lisboa and we could not have chosen a better place for our last dinner. We were greeted at the door by super friendly staff who offered a drink while we waited. The furniture and décor are perfect for the restaurant with cow fur bands across the walls and leather chairs. You know you will be eating beef when you enter the place. However it works and gives it a good charm. After a short wait we were invited to sit in the lower level which had already a great view over the city. However there is an upper floor and even a terrace which should provide some equally great seating options. The waiters were helpful and very friendly presenting us the different meats and offering tips on the choices at hand. We both had different kinds of lombo beef and they were both delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, the sauces perfectly complimenting the quality of the meat. After our meal we indulged in the dulce de leche crepes which were fabulous as well as the came with a beautiful lemon Chantilly which complemented the caramel taste beautifully. Overall a great quality and delightful place with lovely staff. We are definitely planning on going again.

Outstanding!!! Best steak in Lisbon by a mile. We’ve eaten here twice during our trip to Lisbon and we’re thrilled by the service and the quality of the steaks. We also ate at Café Buenos Aires during our stay and there’s no comparison. As a very heavy American traveller, have to say this is a very, very good steak for a reasonable price… especially relative to steak in America. The staff and host are also fantastic… my family and I have never felt more welcome in a restaurant… only wish this place was back home! Highly recommend the tenderloin… exceptional. Enjoy!

Gran restaurante argentino! Carne deliciosa, trato impecable! Es un espacio además muy bonito, con unas vistas espectaculares sobre Lisboa del lado de la ventana. El precio es un poco alto, no menos de 30, pero lo cierto es que el servicio que dan y la calidad de la comida es como para pagarlo. No solo fuimos atendidas como princesas, si no que además nos invitaron a unos chupitos antes del postre según ellos para disculparse por habernos hablado inglés en lugar de portugués o español cuando nos atendieron. Tienen una sala muy agradable antes de entrar en el restaurante para esperar por tu mesa mientras tomas el aperitivo acompañado de deliciosas empanadillas argentinas. El postre con dulce de leche el la guinda perfecta a una experiencia totalmente recomendable!

A quality steak in Portugal. I am an American and we are a fairly uppity people about our steaks. I am also not fond of the European tendency to drown steaks in sauce; the meat should be able to stand alone on its own merits. La Paparrucha is the closest dining establishment in Lisbon to offer a hearty, American style steak without the drowning sauce. This is also ironic because the establishment purports itself to be an Argentine restaurant. The first thing you’ll notice about this restaurant is the décor. It is most un-European and reminded me much of an American steakhouse. So far so good. On the way to the 2nd floor(which has a great view of the city, including the Sao Jorge castle to the east, insist on sitting up there if there is room even if the staff says its a «smoking» floor) you can catch a glimpse of the grillman and his grill, which I thought was reassuring. Although I am not a standard monolingual American, I do not speak any of the romance languages. Fortunately the waitstaff here speaks great English(as do many places in this country, which rocks). I ordered the tri-tip and it was fantastic. Most famously done as a cowboy cut in the Santa Maria style, theirs is sliced up and grilled to perfection evenly according to customer taste. The meat was juicy and delicious. Additionally, the side of grilled veggies I ordered was substantial and seasoned in a manner that indicated it was more than just an afterthought. If I had to complain it would be that the steak was a little oversalted, but not more so than you would find in a steakhouse here in the US. Although pricey, if you are an uncouth American looking for a good steak in a seafood dominated city I recommend La Paparrucha without reservation.

…ein wunderschöner Abend in einem ebenso wunderschönen Restaurant mit einem Wahnsinnsblick über Lissabon. Unser letzter Abend in Lissabon sollte nicht zwingend was Besonderes sein, es hat sich einfach so ergeben. Wir sind als«Laufkundshaft» hereinspaziert und haben es nicht bereut. Der Restaurantmanager, ein junger Portugiese, spricht ein sehr gutes Englisch und hat uns perfekt und völlig unaufdringlich durch den Abend begleitet. Der Besitzer selbst war so reizend und brachte mir schon vorab einen Gruß aus der Küche, weil ich bereits so einen großen Hunger hatte. Das Essen(Steak für meinen Mann; Pasta für mich) war schmackhaft, der Wein ausgezeichnet, Ambiente(in vielen Lissabonner Lokalen eher klein geschrieben) stimmig. Die Preise sind natürlich gesalzen, aber mein Gott… wir hatten Urlaub… wir kommen wieder… sowohl nach Lissabon als auch in La Paparrucha

Quando apetece comer bons pedaços de carne e não nos importamos de pagar mais por isso, o Paparrucha é a solução ideal. Para isso e para jantares românticos, pois tem uma vista incrível sobre a cidade. Estejamos na esplanada ou dentro do restaurante, a panorâmica sobre a cidade de Lisboa é a grande atracção deste lugar. Quando lá fui recentemente, fiquei na sala de fumadores numa mesa mesmo colada à janela e, digo-vos, que ver ali o pôr do sol é um daqueles momentos que não temos todos os dias. Agora imaginem, apreciar este cenário enquanto se come a melhor carne da nossa vida, que por sinal é argentina e tem sempre uma guarnição à altura, sejam as batatas assadas, recheadas com ervas e queijo ou os legumes mistos grelhados. Aconselho o carré de borrego da Patagónia e uma espécie de espetada mista à La Paparrucha e para aconchegar uma sobremesa de cheesecake de lima com gengibre. Quando vier a conta, contenham-se, pois não vai ser fácil encará-la, Deixem de lado o pensamento de que pagar caro por comida é um desperdício, é antes um investimento em emoções fortes

Este restaurante argentino é um espaço de referência na restauração lisboeta, quer pela alta qualidade dos pratos confecionados, quer pela decoração, quer pela localização central na cidade de Lisboa. Estive apenas uma única vez, no La Paparrucha, e a convite. É um dos poucos locais em que se paga bem(mesmo), mas a qualidade dos alimentos, a sua apresentação, e o ambiente de requinte e beleza com a vista para toda a baixa da cidade, merecem honestamente este preço. O ambiente costuma ser calmo, com clientes bem educados(muitos turistas do norte da Europa) e empregados bastante atenciosos. Gostava de lá voltar para repetir esta experiência…

Restaurante argentino, com uma vista fantástica seja no interior das salas de refeição ou na surpreendente esplanada onde é possível tomar um aperitivo, simplesmente conversar ou usufruir do serviço de wi-fi gratuito. Tem óptimos pratos de carne tipicamente argentina, donde destaco o carré de borrego ou o bife de chorizo, óptima confecção.

Wir waren während unseres Aufenthaltes in Lissabon zweimal dort essen und waren an beiden Abenden sehr begeistert. Natürlich ist das keine portugiesische Küche, aber ein richtig gutes Steakrestaurant. Kellnerinnen und Kellner waren gesprächig, haben uns gern und gut beraten. Möchte man einen Fensterplatz haben, sollte man vorbestellen, aber das kostet nichts und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Das Fleisch(wir bestellten einmal einen gemischten Grill mit Rippchen, Rumpsteak, Lamm und mehr, ca. 700g Fleisch; zum anderen Rumpsteak) war äußerst lecker, prima gegrillt und von der Menge her auch mehr als ausreichend. Als Beilagen wählten wir Folienkartoffel(hier baked potato), etwa Faustgroß mit schmackhafter Knobi-Crème, und Blattspinat im Rahm. Beides war für den Preis eine angemessene Menge. Die Weinempfehlungen trafen unseren Geschmack vollends und auch der Service war auf Zack unser Glas war nie leer. Für uns wird es beim nächsten Lissabon-Trip sicher wieder ein Anlaufpunkt.

Waouh! Chauffe la Carte Bancaire. Mais c’est tellement bien. Thème: Argentine. Possible de manger dedans ou en terrasse. Mais de toutes façons avec une superbe vue sur Lisbonne en direction du parc Eduardo 7. Des cocktails et des viandes à tomber par terre Plats de 18EUR à 30EUR. J’en ai eu pour 80EUR avec cocktail, couvert, vin, eau, entrée, plat, dessert, café.
