Great assortment of interesting, high quality beers, super friendly service and a chill atmosphere. We tried out a few of the local brews and the lovely bartender was more than happy to give us advice and recommendations. She was extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, made our experience really enjoyable with her friendly banter. Great spot to sink a few beers!

Recomendo.

Cervetca is a very high-quality beer bar nestled in a quiet corner of Lisbon between Barrio Alto and Principe Real. They have around a dozen beers on tap which on my couple visits consisted of a handful of local Portuguese options, some European standouts(Mikkeller, de Molen, and Belgians), and a handful of great American beers(Rogue for example). They also have a ridiculously extensive bottle list with beers from all over the world. The vibe here is great. It’s a quiet little spot with AC, some bar seating, and tables. They also have board games should that strike your fancy. It’s a casual place where you just want to hang out. If you’re a beer geek, the bartenders are more than happy to enlighten you about the secrets of the up-and-coming Portuguese beer scene. Hugo was there on both my visits and was a delight to chat with. I think we have to differ on one point, in the end, the Passarola was my favorite Portuguese IPA, while he preferred the Colina. Prices are a little higher than the rest of Lisbon, but that’s OK, you’re paying for quality. If you want to get drunk, you can go get your Sagres later for € 1 – 2, just start here first for some good stuff. Looks like they also have some beer for sale to go. Basically, their selection is better than almost any bar I’ve been to in Canada, so I highly recommend it.

Amazing little bar far away from tourist area of Lisbon. Good variety of beers from all over the world as well artesan beers. If you are looking for something different then regular portuguese lagers this is a place to be! Prices are reasonably unless you are drinking some limited editions. Highly recomended to have a nice beer in Lisbon!

An awesome and cool little beer bar in Lisbon! As good as it gets — in Lisbon! Hence the high rating. Ratings must consider things like relativity, IMO. In a town dominated by Sagres(which is an OK lager style), Cerveteca is a nice oasis! Nestled in a nice little spot near a park on Flores street, the bar is run by rugby players /enthusiasts that like good beer! As the Count is always seeking«that Beer bar» in whatever location he finds himself in, Cerveteca was on my radar before the plane landed. The beer choices are limited but very high quality and the bartenders are knowledgeable about what they are serving. To my complete surprise, they were serving an elusive Czech pilsner that I had only heard about, but it very difficult to find the U.S. Lo and behold, they had the infamous Budvar Budweiser on tap! Not to be confused with the famous American Budweiser brand now owned by Inbev. This is apparently the original Budweiser and it put its American counterpart to shame. We tried the food, which was simple snack foods, but they were decent and cheap. The smoked mussels tasted good with some crackers and we also had a ham sandwich to keep us in check while we tried the beers. Overall, a great place to go for great beer and the staff here couldn’t be nicer or cooler. It was like hanging out at a cool friends place. Highly recommended!

Great selection of diverse craft beer & knowledgeable + friendly staff. For example, they had many Belgian ales/strong ales — which I love –including 2 on tap, favorites, and brands new to me.

If you are tired of the pathetic choice of Sagres and Super Bock, and yearn for something different, especially something darker and more flavorful, then you have to head to this place. This place has quite a nice selection of beer, for a small store. Mostly European, and I was excited to see all the BrewDog from Scotland and Mikkeller from Denmark. Also surprised to see many Rogue Ale’s beers, even on draft as well. There is a shelf for Portuguese craft, some from Lisbon. The girl working there, Ann Marie, is the best. She’s really knowledgeable about the beer. When I asked her about a label, she’d tell me — their best beer is XXX, which I don’t have right now, but of the two I have, this one is better. She is honest about her opinion — they waited six month to get this beer, she was really excited to try it but felt rather let down. She also enjoys giving trivia — the label Electric Nurse from Denmark comes from the occupations of the founders — one is an electrician and the other a nurse. She lets me sample the draft before deciding which one I want. Last but not least, she is diligent with regular sampling of the beer to ensure quality. ;) The place has a relaxed vibe, with some games and books for entertainment. We just sat at the bar and chatted with locals, about beer, food, and everything. A really lovely way to spend an afternoon of our vacation, rather than hurrying around like crazy tourists. If you prefer, Praça Das Flores is just across the street, a park where you can totally enjoy a little corner of nature. Beers are not cheap here. The bottles costs over € 3 each, and drafts mostly € 4 – 6. Whereas a Sagres usually costs me € 2 or so. However, if you don’t feel it’s worth paying extra to support craft and quality beer, then by all means stay with your Super Bock.

I didn’t think there were any places like this in Lisbon, but I was proved wrong– this is an amazing beer bar with beers from all over the world. They have a dozen or so beers on tap and serve incredible, affordable beer flights, along with chilled beers in various fridges and a range of other beers you can buy to take home. This place is amazing, affordable, and I can’t possibly recommend it more if you are a beer lover like me! The most notable thing they had when I went was a barley wine beer– it was a fairly high percentage(12 or 13%?) and one of the most unique drinks I’ve ever had! Be aware that this place is pretty popular and it might be hard to get a seat.

A cozy little beer bar that satisfied my taste for a dark beer while living in a city with 2 soccer teams and 2 beers to go with them. I tried a local stout they had on one of their 8 or so taps. It was pleasant, chocolatey and reasonably priced at 6 euro for a pint or 3 for half a pint. I would drink it again. They have a vast selection of bottles from Europe and America, several patrons were there to buy bottles to-go.
