Canto da Vila Bistrô

Petit bistrot avec terrasse sympathique situé dans le quartier historique de l’Alfama, près du Castelo. La route est peu passante donc la terrasse reste agréable et vous pouvez même vous laisser aller à regarder passer les trams.
Bön accueil avec petit verre de blanc pour nous faire patienter — car même après 21 heures, c’était blindé.
Les petits pâtés servis avec les olives sont délicieux et le pain est chaud et moelleux.
Cheese burger maison, bon mais trop salé car beaucoup de bacon. Bacalhau à la crème super. Desserts non testés.
Une bonne adresse avec un dîner pour deux à moins de 40 €.

Amazing dining experience at Canto da Vila. Conveniently located in Alfama across from Miradouro de Santa Luzia near Castelo de Jorge, this a great place to pop in for a drink or meal. Interior was well decorated and quaint and outside patio is a great place for people watching and listening to the live music they provide. Food was incredible (one of the best meals we had) but the real highlight for me were the staff. After experiencing some poor service /​uncaring attitude at other area places, the staff at Canto da Vila were not only accommodating but incredibly friendly and helpful. They were very engaged /​attentive and were all too happy to make meal /​drink recommendations. They told me themselves that it was their goal to create memorable moments for patrons as opposed to just a regular dining experience. Only downside is that you may need to wait for a table as this place is so good and always busy.

The description used in a previous review is a ‘hole in the wall’ which is quite apt. You’ll notice it walking by cos there’s a guy playing a guitar out front.
The food was really good and there’s a nice variety on the menu, whatever your tastes.

Terrasse super mignonne, repas top et serveur très gentil.
Le soir il y a un guitariste qui vient mettre une ambiance romantique.
Parfait pour terminer un séjour Portugais !

Très bon restaurant qui change un peu des pièges à touristes qu’il y a à Alfama.
L’escale parfaite si vous en avez assez des sardines et autres plats que vous trouverez sur toutes les cartes du coin.

We stumbled on this tiny little hole in the wall one night and were so glad we did that we went back a couple nights later to have dinner again. The staff were excellent, the food was perfect. Definitely find this place and you won’t be disappointed. It was by far the best meal we had while in Portugal.

Apres un passage au musée des arts décoratifs de Lisbonne, une halte quelques ruelles plus bas dans ce charmant restaurant fait le plus grand bien.
L’ambiance est bonne: un mélange hétéroclite d’éléments décoratifs. Ici un bout de cadre, par là un bout de tapisserie tendue.
Le service est agréable, on parle le français. La formule «menu» est très intéressante, et surtout très appétissante !
A propos des assiettes, né vous arrêtez pas à la quantité qui à première vue parait légère ! En effet, il n’y en a ni trop, ni pas assez ! La cuisine y est contemporaine et revisite les plats traditionnels.

Compared to the rest of the food in Lisbon, this was simply amazing.
I have to say this was probably the best meal I had in Lisbon.
The tomato bruschetta was flavorful, the steak was incredible and melted in my mouth, and I even ordered dessert, which was, of course, delicious.
This bistro is located in Alfama, and it’s fairly easy to get to — it’s on a tram line, close to a lookout point on the southeast side.
It is a bit pricey as compared to the other restaurants (I believe the steak was around 15 euros), but the quality more than makes up for it.

Sempre achei este cantinho muito amoroso e sempre fiquei muito infeliz com o pouco ou nada que os antigos detentores deste espaço faziam dele. Fui lá algumas vezes comer uma sopa por falta de alternativas mas nunca desfrutei o local.
Quando este cantinho renovado apareceu convidei a minha mãe a pagar-​me lá um almoço :) Adorámos! Aproveitamos para por a conversa em dia na esplanada a apanhar sol enquanto desfrutámos de um risotto e de umas entradinhas com um copo de vinho. O serviço foi igualmente simpático.
De realçar as melhorias feitas com quase nada do que resta das fachadas devolutas que circundam o edifício.

Este espaço, pequenino e acolhedor, mesmo em frente ao Centro de Estudos Judiciários, derrete-​me pelo ambiente, pela pequena e acolhedora esplanada e pela comida! No menu constam diversos pratos tipicamente portugueses, mas também italianos. Gosto das massas e das almôndegas! O atendimento é simpático… Apesar da esplanada ficar mesmo colada à estrada e ser pequenina (tal como espaço interior) tem um ambiente acolhedor e engraçado!

Este cantinho — verdadeiramente — acolhedor, e com uma decoração bonita e agradável, irradia ali luz no meio de Alfama. Fui uma vez com umas amigas italianas que tinham estado cá em Erasmus e que conheciam um dos donos e cozinheiros, e deu para comprovar a excelência da comida e a simpatia e boa-​disposição de quem lá trabalha. Comi bacalhau com natas e adorei e lembro-​me de toda a gente se ter deliciado com as almôndegas de parmesão, fiambre e piripiri. Também tem umas pastas muito boas. Hoje reparei que tem menus ao almoço por 10,50 euros com entrada, bebida, prato e sobremesa incluídas!, enquanto desfrutava da tão boa música ao vivo na esplanada sentada num banquinho de madeira feito a partir dos pins verdes de ferro do passeio.
