Love this family park. Wildlife, water park, bicycle to the local beach, rides, tents, caravans & huts I would return

Me and my partner(both in our early 20s) booked this park via a national newspaper offer so for our accommodation which was a Duingalow was only around £70 for a Monday to Friday stay. We booked a Ramsgate — Ostende ferry with LD Lines which I think we paid around £200.00 for. It was awful. Never again. When we arrived at the park the staff were friendly and spoke perfect English(which was great for us!). We were shown to our Duingalow(caravan) and weren’t disappointed. It was a lovely caravan with a bit of decking and a BBQ. Everything worked fine and had everything it was supposed to. The park itself it really great… anyone with children should definately come here. The theme park is brilliant considering it’s free(it’s no Chessington or antyhing of that calibre but it certainly is entertaining). The water park is FABULOUS! and only costs about 2 euros for people staying at the site. We ate at one of the little fast food places which was also pretty good(a little expensive but I’ve generally found that places like this generally are in Europe). The staff(and locals) are really helpful. I(very spectacularly) managed to fall down 1 step and badly sprain my ankle. A very nice lady(not staff) came over and asked if I was alright as I had been sat on the floor for a while. I managed to get up and hobble away fine but it swelled up a LOT once I rested it. The next day we stopped at reception as we were leaving that day and asked for someone to ‘properly’ strap up my ankle so that I could walk on it a little and they were brilliant. We went into the little supermarket on site for ½ things but generally found it a bit overpriced(again as they all are at these kinds of places) but just in the town there is a supermarket called C1000(which the reception staff actually recommended to us) which is brilliant. There is a LOVELY pizza place directly opposite. I would definately recommend it. We are going back this year(with a different ferry company for a much better price!) and are very much looking forward to it.

Duinrell has alot of parts and they all make up to a cracking place. Firstly. Duinrell the holiday parc. We stayed in a couple of chalets which slept about 6 people. They were reasonably clean with good sized living and kitchen areas. Also, there is a ‘garden’ attached to each aswell. You have to park in the alloted car park spaces away from the chalets so the accomodation areas are all pedestrian which is grea for the kids. There is a camping field near the back for touring vans and tents. At the front there was a Keycamp section with mobile homes. The whole place was nice and clean. The centre contained snack bars and a nice restaurant. Secondly. Duinrell the theme parc. It’s like a little Alton Towers. They have some really good rides, log flume, the mad mill, roller coaster etc and a lot of kids rides, so it’s a cracking place for families with younger kids. Lots of slow plasurable rides for toddlers and grandma’s. Plus a standard play area. Thirdly. Duinrell the swimming ‘paradise’. The pool is fantastic. It’s apparently the largest covered swimming paradise in Europe. When we first came my kids were very little so they never used the swimming facilities so I’d love to go back with them now. There are all sorts of cool flumes and slides here. There’s ten unique waterslides and fast rides but there’s also a nice slow river ride for the mums. The area around Duinrell is nice. Right outside the gates is a fantastic pancake house and you are only a short walk to the small town of Wassenaar which is lovely. There is a bus stop just inside the gates where you can catch a bus to the local beach amongst other places. Not too far to drive from Hook Of Holland ferries and Amsterdam for a day trip. You can’t really do this place justice in such a small review, it’s really worh checking out on the internet and maybe giving it a go. I’m certainly hoping to return.
