Mama Achenefe has been busy in the kitchen! As our host Zeleke Zerfu put it, «You can taste the love.» Indeed. If you’re in the mood for a home cooked meal combined with colorful descriptions of the Ethiopian homeland, this is the place! Everything is and tastes homemade and, complete with rambunctious kids rolling about on the floor, you feel part of the African family. Zeleke describes not only what you are eating, but also why. The banana beer is sweet, but if your preference is for bitter, the coconut beer is better. The food is delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for a loving African-family experience.

Simple and delicious, with an authentic feel. Don’t be mistaken by the minimalist décor.

A wonderful and cozy place with very friendly service. Do take an original table and have some of the surprise dishes, you won’t be disappointed! Honey wine … Mmm :-)

I really love this restaurant for larger groups. The entrees are expensive, but large enough to share. I suggest 2 dishes for every 3 – 4 people at your table. Everything is served in a center platter, and then you eat with your hands(using the bread to scoop). Lots of fun, delicious, and great vegetarian selection. The yosem wot is very good! Also try the coconut beer, it is very sweet but a fun drink. Call ahead for a reservation if you a with a group.

Nice authentic Ethiopian food! Your cutlery is a mildly sour pancake, with which you scoop up the various delicious dishes on your chosen platter. Eating with your hands is wonderful Nice to share one big platter with friends! You can drink some Ethiopian honey wine with it, or a nice African beer(banana, coconut, palmheart!). The best part to eat is the pancake on your platter, which has soaked up all the flavours of your dishes The service is very friendly as well Good place to eat good food, for a reasonable price!
