It’s more of a 3.5 star thing really. Jumbo is a perfectly fine supermarket and if there’d still be one next to our house I’m sure we would also still go more often to Jumbo instead of constantly going to Albert Heijn. However, our Jumbo moved away and Albert Heijn is here to stay. But there are just some things that Albert Heijn doesn’t sell anymore and neither does the PLUS next to my parents’, so for those things: Jumbo. For me it’s things like vegetarian gravy base from Maggi or the vegetarian«steaks» and nasi/bami cubes from Quorn. Obviously to me those are important things which I now only rarely get to enjoy because we only rarely go to a Jumbo.(Last time was at least a year ago, if not two…) So for the fact that I have to plan an afternoon and go out of my way just to get to a Jumbo, three stars. But for the fact that I can satisfy my gravy needs(yes, I do mean NEEDS) I give Jumbo four stars. And then we end up with 3.5 stars, but for the sheer fact that some of my other grocery list basics aren’t available here, I decided on three stars to make life easier for Unilocal. Great little bonus to this Jumbo though; they have a parking garage and when you spend twenty euro’s or more, they’ll validate a free hour of parking there.
