First off, I have to say — I’m a big fan of Schipol AIrport in general. Yes, it’s totally insane and crazy and mega massive, but I like it. It has everything I like. It’s also in Amsterdam, which I love. I want to be Dutch. Take me, Dutch! Take me! Ok, no? Fine, I’ll settle with a few visits per year. So on this particular day I had the unlikely combination of being early for my flight and also my flight be delayed so I found myself with an hour to spare. I’d passed all the good shopping, wasn’t hungry, couldn’t drink anymore coffee and so… Xpress Spa! I booked in for a 30 minute foot massage, which was nice. Not amazing, but nice. The receptionist was a bit frigid and didn’t seem to have a good organization over who was waiting for what. However, when I sat down the therapist was great. Very professional and sweet. It’s all«open» — so not a lot of privacy(not that you need it for a foot massage). It’s insanely overpriced as airport spas tend to be(I think I paid like 45 euros for 30 minutes or something). They do offer you water, so there you go. Airport water costs a lot so drink some here and you’ll be able to justify that pricey spa expenditure! Spas in airports? I’m a fan. When it works its great. This one suited me just fine and was a nice little break from the hectic pace of travel.
