The Harbour Club

What a fantastic little place right on the harbour of Den Haag/​Scheveningen!!!

I had the special of the day as did my mother, surf and turf, with Canadian lobster so a little taste of home, and it was fantastic! I tired parts of the other meals at the table too, and everything was fantastic and cooked perfectly. The cod fish was spectacular.
I wish I had saved room for dessert!
Our server was great, she was friendly and knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor, she had us chatting with the Japanese chef by the end of the night. All the staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and the whole atmosphere was very welcoming, you didn’t feel rushed to leave or anything, it was great! Next time I am in Den Haag I would definitely go back.

For starters, I ordered the (vegetarian) Parpadelle. Not so great, just no love in the cooking. For the main dish I had the club steak. I ordered medium, but received it well cooked, and not really hot. For one of the best restaurants in DH kind of a disappointment. Also, the music on the terrace was quite noisy. The location is nice, though.

This place is really excellent and the service is even better. I had cod and the plate was amazing and the fish cooked to perfection. An excellent selection of wine and menu that includes meat was really good. Check out the meat upstairs hanging in the closet next to the washrooms really cool. A great location just outside of Den Hague, easy to get to with a great menu, I don’t rate many five stars but this place deserves it 100% and it is a little on the pricey side, so you get what you pay for. I really liked interacting with the fish monger who was nice enough to shuck me an oyster from France before I bought them, that was really cool. Also they have an amazing selection of Lobsters here from the North Sea and Atlantic really nice big ones. I also loved the display of the fishes, lobsters and oysters in the front case really classy. This place is a must go, eat and enjoy.
