I will be adding De Zandhaas to my list of places to take my friends and family for sightseeing when they are in Haarlem. This lovely windmill was built in 1779 and renovated in 1996. I am new fan of De Zandhaas. It has one of the most impressive windmills in the Netherlands. I was really impress with how they converted the inside of the windmill into a small biological market. They even have a few gluten-free items in here. The shop is open from Thursday to Saturday 10:00 — 17:00. If you are in Haarlem, I would definitely add this place to a list of things to do. Santpoort is a wonderful environment to embrace nature and Dutch culture. I did not have the pleasure of attending this event, but here is a nice link to check out. The area has a lot to offer, a lovely place to go shopping and enjoy lunch or dinner. They have a fabulous restaurant just a few steps away.
