René & Mary’s B&B

I have stayed in two separate rooms at Rene and Mary’s B&B and cannot say enough good things about this property. It is right in the center of Rotterdam and a stone’s throw from great restaurants and nightclubs, museums, and shopping. Both of the rooms that I stayed in were large and lined with windows (and a deck off the Zen Room) that look over the back of the property where there are gardens overflowing with flowers. All of the furniture and bedding and drapery In both rooms is brand-​new and incredibly comfortable. And the breakfast served by the hosts is terrific; Dutch cheese, fresh bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, etc. Finally, the hostess could not be more welcoming. Not only did she offer to give us a walking tour of Rotterdam, she told us all about the best things to see and do in Rotterdam and she was absolutely right on all accounts. We went to fabulous museums and world class restaurants within a half a kilometer of the B&B. We have stayed in many accommodations throughout Europe, and I can say without reservation that this is one of the best properties in which we have ever stayed. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
