Perfect to come and hang out or take delicious artisan food and drink to go! I came with my husband and some friends. We had a delicious cheese platter for only 3,50 per person! The setup is really fluid, so we were able to enjoy our cheese by the microbrewery where we all enjoyed really special beers(I had the sour cherry — yum!). Everything looked so delicious and there wasn’t time to try it all, so I went to the Moroccan setup for lots of breads(corn, filled, etc) and tapas(dips, spreads, olives) to go. It made for a wonderful lunch the next day! Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Rotterdam!

I can’t think of a more perfect place for a full-on Dutch lunch experience. Fenix incorporates all of Rotterdam’s strengths — industrial roots, design-oriented culture, internationality, CHEESE. The open space houses a handful of food/drink stations, each specializing in a category: cheese, meats, coffee, pizza, Moroccan(!!!), beer, etc. One platter(or plank) of food costs about 3.50 Euros and serves one person. If you can only try one plank, you need to go for the cheese. The people working there took the time to explain each type of cheese, all from their farm. The single person plank comes with mild to ultra-moldy options, bread, and the most delicious caramelized onion compote in this world. Check out the Moroccan stand too — absolutely delish small plates selection, fresh hummus, fluffy bread. It blended in perfectly with the other ultra-Dutch options, which seems symbolic for Rotterdam itself.

Nice place for authentic beers, really good cheese and great Bread from Jordys. Stielmanns coffee is fantastic for chemex coffee. Love the coffee from Ethiopië!

What a place… I have never seen a lively place like this… It does look like a factory… Flavor of street food and seating place near the sea. If you are visiting Rotterdam, then cross the Bridge(you obviously know which bridge I am talking of: P) Walk right till the end to find another cross over bridge .You might easily see smokes coming from the food factory… and there you are… Check my pics

One of the more pleasant surprises of Rotterdam. While I expected a few more stalls to choose from, the food and drinks we had were really good.(pizza was expensive but delicious and the beer is outstanding!). Regarding the interior design, well… It’s just what a hipster food location has to look like nowadays ;) A bit too«rustic» for my taste.

Ho. Lee. Wow. The best thing that happened to my stomach in the Netherlands. This space couldn’t get more awesome. From what I remember there were the following all-local joints: a cheese spot, a meat counter, a cider room, a beer brewery, a bakery with the best cream cheese brownie in the world, and a specialty coffee island. They have bathrooms set up in what appears to be a trailer and it was just fine. For € 2.75 I ordered a cheese plate for 1. But it was not for 1. It was for at least 3, which means that for this greedy American it was perfect. I had the great fortune of trying the La Mer cheese and my levels of joy were greatly optimized. The gentleman at the brewery knew his stuff; my only regret was not getting the nift cloth bag with the brewery name on it for € 3. It was so cool. Outside they had a healthy smoothie and foods truck and a Thai truck. The chef at the Thai spot had a little boy with her who ran around inside of the warehouse and when another little girl joined him to play it was just too much cute for me. Cute kiddos, cheese, and a brownie? Best day ever.
