We were in town to catch a show at the Ahoy(Russell Peters Almost Famous Tour for those of you who are curious) and turned to Unilocalers to figure out where to eat that was nearby and budget friendly. Well the Unilocal community was spot on in their praise of Dim Daily. This is a fantastic place! Normally I am wary of places that offer a variety of Asian cuisines. That old adage sometimes does ring true whereby restaurants are jack of all trades, master of none since this place offers Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Malay, Singaporean food(Korean was the only one missing!) My party of 4 ordered x2 Chinese, one Japanese(seafood udon) and one Thai(veg green curry) and all of the food we ordered was unique, authentic and delicious. In fact my friends and I made up a story that this place came about because 5 university friends from Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore were studying in Rotterdam and needed some cash so opened up this restaurant because each flavour was so distinctive and especially for the green curry, that was totally home –made and not from a jar! I can also recommend the ginger tea and mint tea — just both were fantastic and in fact would happily go here and eat again.

This place mixes different asian kitchens in one place. It is not excelling in any of the kitchens but has different variety and is decent. Japanese udon prepared with chinese beef gives a fusion kitchen feeling. Don katsu(japanese) with chinese rice was not spectacular. Unfortunately they have stopped my favorite dish: unagi with rice, which was relative expensive anyhow. Typical chinese dishes(even dim sum) are available. Amazed that they have roti canai which was not too bad. The only place where I know you can get this is in malaysia(origin) and the«penang» foodchain in eastcoast U.S. Even the typical indian curry belonging to the dish could have come straight from malaysia. Dim daily gets 1 additional star for having this dish. Be warned: — The chairs are terrible and invite you to leave as soon as possible. — Due to the open kitchen which is nice, but your clothes smell after leaving and the dutch wind will not help you to get rid of it. Recommended for parties who want to eat asian, but each member wants a different asian dish.

Super delicious Japanese noodles with chicken, any rice & meat combination and vegetarian options. Dim sum, sushi, basically everything you could want from the asian cuisine. Prices are really fine and the personnel speaks English.
