I had heard good things about this place, but I wasn’t overly impressed. Nice selection of beers, but average service and the place didn’t seem very clean when I was there. The big terrace ensures it’s usually busy (the Dutch love their terraces!). It’s worth a look, but I don’t think it lives up to the hype

A great café with great food and off the chart good barsnacks that’s exactly how to describe bokaal. Pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon but we found a spot at a table anyways… that is and thus is the downside… the tables are quite unstable so people on front leaned there way into our drinks once or twice…
Anyways the wine was good and affordable, the barsnacks bowl delish with veggie and cheese croquettes and the dutch bitterbal. We also ordered the tartiflette… oh my cardiac arrest sauced potatoe dish but for 2 foodies on a role perfect. They’ll definitely see me back with more friends.

Great drinks, great service (very friendly staff), excellent cheese samplers. Could get very crowded but I would still highly recommend this venue.

Not going to give this place a 5 star review only because it can get very crowded and the service can be a bit slow especially if you’re looking for a warm place to get into and have a drink off the bat. However, after the servers come to you they are very helpful with drink and menu choices. Very beautiful interior and cozy venue.
