Taxi Jong

SYNOPSIS:
The car never showed up and we nearly missed our flight back to the US.
THE GORY DETAILS:
We booked this car before leaving the states. We got a confirmation email with all of the relevant information. At the appropriate day and time, we stood outside in the Amsterdam chill for 45 minutes waiting for a car that never came.
When we called, we were told that they had needed a phone confirmation, even though we’d already booked and received an email confirmation (which mentioned nothing of a phone call). She said she’d left several messages for us (which she did not, or we’d have received them when we got home). Absolutely ridiculous.
I ended up walking out onto the street and hailing a cab. The only reason we caught our flight was luck.
I hope these people die in a fireball.
