LOVE trek! And really, what’s not to love? Food trucks: check Music: check Nice weather: even that one’s a check! It’s basically the same as Rollende Keukens in Amsterdam only what I really like about Trek at Griftpark is the way it’s been set up, there’s just so much more space and a great openness even though there are a lot of trucks. Especially great with our huge pram, but also fantastic for everyone and their mother who brought picnic blankets, chairs or even some couches! Definitely a chill vibe over here with the random pieces of furniture throughout the festival. The music is also bringing some serious chillness to the table, love it. Huge plus for parents bringing their young children: wristlets to write your name and number on in case the little munchkin gets away from you and there’s also a stand where the kids can get their faces painted. Great. Now, the most important thing: the food! We tried a lot of different things over two days. My favourites were the Happas veggie balls, the Churros with dark chocolate and the Bombay falafel. I only had one thing that I didn’t enjoy which was the goat cheese cone sandwich and one thing that gave me mixed feelings: the cheeseburger. I kind of liked the cheeseburger but it was huge, very salty, had way to much super sharp mustard and not enough balsamic syrup and spinach leaves. For the rest we liked or loved everything we had, have a look at the photos for my opinion on what I had. As an added bonus the toilets were even nice and clean, even though it’s so busy that the line to enter the festival area ran halfway around the park. The line itself actually moved really quickly, we were inside in less than ten minutes. So all in all, I’m glad we came here two days so we could eat everything we wanted and I can’t wait for the next edition of Trek!
