If you like absurdly spicy Indian food, this is the place for you. I went here with a large group and we ordered a bit of everything. Most dishes were very good. There were some that were too hot to really be sure if they were tasty, but some people are into that. My dish, the butter chicken, was just a bit too sweet. So overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and I’d go back. I would order something with a heat scale somewhere between my too sweet butter chicken and the too hot lamb madras.

Nijmegen has serious Indian food, and India Gate gets bonus points being from the UK.
The vindaloo was spicy, so if you’re not ready for the heat — go a notch lower. Other dishes were good — the butter chicken was fine. Naan and rice were both solid.
It’s not cheap — I think it cost about EUR 25 per person for food, but worthwile. I’ll be back. Be careful, if you don’t act soon, the curry will serve itself.
