One of the best Thai food experiences I have had anywhere. It’s that good. The food was authentic and fresh. I highly recommend this as a must go in Maastricht.

The food is authentic PERIOD. The flavors are similar to what you can get from Thailand street stand, even the spicy level is no joke. What I really like about this restaurant is that they are not spending time and mind on how to decorate the food or restaurant to make it look fancier, but rather, serving the traditional nice dishes. The spicy level is not kidding, if you are at «German» or «American» spicy degree, then please just order 1 star. 2 star is already like local Thailand spiciness(which is probably 5 – 6 star of American standard) Highlights: Authentic food Freshly cooked Good and friendly service Clean

I’m not the expert of thai food, but in my opinion it can’t be any better than here. It was my third time here and this wasn’t the last for sure. The staff is very friendly and helping to choose. Will definitely come back when next time in Maastricht. Highly recommended, 5 out of 5!

It’s really not that great. Food is fine, not excellent, but the service really is below par. The décor is also ready for change.

All the other reviews aren’t lying – this place is amazing! One major tip: get a reservation. Twice we went in to eat but they were fully booked and couldn’t seat us. I’m so glad we finally called ahead and got our spot reserved because everything we had was delicious and amazingly well spiced. If you don’t like spicy be sure to get just«1 pepper» because even at that level I was sweating by the end.

When my wife and I are deciding what to eat for dinner it’s either mexican food or Thai food.(We’re from Los Angeles). Being in Maastricht, we decided to see if their Thai food was any good. We ordered the spring rolls and tom ka gai to start with. The spring rolls were decent, pretty much what you’d expect from any Thai restaurant. The tom ka gai was very good. Much different from what we’ve had before, and it had this nice slow burn(I like spicy, but my wife can handle it much better). For our main entrées we ordered the panang curry and the cashew chicken. We almost alway order these dishes, and the panang is usually how I judge a Thai place. I have to say that both dishes were very good, and much different from what I’ve eaten before. I would have given this place a 4 for the food, but the owner was so personable, that the environment alone is worth the visit. P. S. The spice level is up there, so when they say it’s spicy, the mean it!

I would say that this place is a «hidden» gem of Maastricht but based on the amount of TripAdvisor awards they have hanging on the walls, and the fact that they’re packed to the brim every time I visit, I can’t really say that the hidden part is true. But it is absolutely a gem. In fact I hesitated to write another glowing review for it because it’s already getting difficult to reserve a table ;-) I discovered this restaurant when I was brought here by a friend who had recently returned from Thailand. Yep, this is about as authentic as Thai food gets outside of Thailand… and about the best atmosphere I’ve ever seen in a thai restaurant. The owner is amazing and the service is fast, friendly and unassuming. It’s always, always a pleasure when I get to come back here! Highly recommended!

This is real Thai food. The owners are a dutch guy and his wife, a Thai lady. They know how to do it. Quality and as hot as you want it.

Best thai food I ever had! I lived three years in Los Angeles and could not find a Thai restaurant that compares. The food is really fresh. As a plus, the service is really friendly.

This is the best Thai in Maastricht by far. You might better book if you know you want to go as it’s pretty busy most of the time. The fish with coriander(especially if you go for the whole one) is to die for! :-)

If I could grant another star, I would. This place is absolutely amazing. The curries are all fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal here(ate here at least once every 2 weeks). The owner is very personable(when he has time to chat) and the is staff always very accommodating. Anytime we had visitors, Pet Thai was definitely a stop. NOTE: Reservations are HIGHLYRECOMMENDED. This place is small(as are 98% of restaurants in Maastricht) and usually booked up by locals, so try to plan ahead.

This year I have been to Maastricht and the thing that stood out was this Thai restaurant. They have a few tables and are mostly booked to the brim. As we were two we were fitted in. They are a small family and cooking everything themselves. They are proud of their offerings and very elaborate on the explanation of the food and its origin. You could tell that the people eating here(and taking food home) were locals and very few tourists. I think that once you know about this place you don’t go anywhere else.(I would do the same if I lived in Maastricht) I cannot remember what I had for main(something with beef) but the Tom Yam with chicken was perfect — still thinking back make my mouth water. Hot? yes, but well worth it — hey it is authentic. I highly recommend going here when visiting. — book first though. BTW they have a ‘no tie’ policy to ensure atmosphere :o)
