Burger King Schiphol

Husband stood in line for 30 minutes at this joint while we were waiting for our flight.
I still cannot understand how a fast food place can take that long.
I’m not even going to comment on the quality of the food because this is Burger King.

Convenience, consistency and price departing from the airport or arriving to the airport is good enough reason for me to have a quick burger, fries and a coke. There’s more than enough service people so that there’s not too long of a wait to get your food and there’s two large areas to sit in to eat. Plus I could have burger cooked my way.

For an out of the USA Burger King they did a good job at the Amsterdam airport. Located almost center of terminals and upstairs. It has good seating with views below which are great for long layover people watching.
People watching here at Amsterdam could be an Olympic event.
Burgers were as expected and plenty of english speaking workers.

Whenever I am flying in the afternoon/​evening, I typically will get a quick burger menu here at the Burger King.
I think it is one of the larger burger king restaurants and often they have a lot of their cashiers open: it means normally you don’t have to wait too long before you can take a bite out of the large flame grilled burger :)

Sehr großer Burger King im Terminal. Fast Food schmeckte mehr oder weniger wie immer. Nur dass die Pommes nicht mehr heiß waren. Zudem: Mayo zu den Pommes kostete extra das sollte einem großen Menü incl. sein!

Good burger king… big. fast food … really fast. always find a spot… in the main Schiphol Plaza area.

Alles wie gewohnt bei Bürger King. Deshalb geht man ja auch immer wieder hin.

The steakhouse burger is not bad at all… And you can wash it down with a beer you can grab next to the counter! Shame you cannot have a value meal with Heineken!

When Gayle and I went to Portugal last year we didn’t eat at a single fast food chain. I hope the same will be true for our trip to Spain next month. After all, what’s the point of having a Whopper when there are so many more culinary choices out there in whatever foreign land I’m privileged to visit. Even Starbucks is a no-​no in favour of a rich demitasse of espresso and a custard tart at a local java joint.
Burger King Schiphol is usually my lone exception when I visit Holland. Last time I took a very early train to the Airport from Den Haag and arrived at around 6 AM. As far as I could tell, this was the only place open and that breakfast sandwich and coffee went down so so well. The temptation isn’t nearly as great arriving at Schiphol as the airline feeds me well and I’m anxious to get on the Train and head to town. But sometimes a hungry jet setter has to do what he/​she has to do.
