Stijlloods reminds me of one of those super cool vintage shops on Melrose. You will not come across that attic smell, which happens to be the case in most vintage shops. A must visit if your in the center of Haarlem. Owner is super nice and friendly. What is also interesting about this shop is that they are a consignment shop too, but they are much more strict in what they take, it has to really have a vintage or retro look to it. They hold your items for 2 months in the store to sell, and after 2 months then it goes straight to charity. No you can not pick it up, because they don’t want to deal with the hassel of designating what goes where, so it’s kind of like a gamble if you drop your things off there. So I decided to take a gamble, and drop off a small amount of items there that I did not want in my closet anymore, which was a(Betsey Johnson dress that i knew that I was never going to wear in Holland, Black and Pink cocktail dress, which was way too small for me, Bohemian shirt, Orange Coach vintage bag, and Polka dot shirt that had vintage written all over it. I was really impressed with the amount of people visiting the shop, which gave me an incentive to feel comfortable dropping a few of my items off, even though I understood that I would not be getting my things back if it did not sell, except for the coach bag, which I was able to negotiate that they would return back, if it did not sell, because of the high value of it. Plus the owner seem like she had some integrity. I did not sense any shadiness going on with her. If this was the case in Amsterdam, then I would have said forget it.
