I booked an appointment with this salon based on the fairly positive Unilocal reviews.
I had requested a haircut and half head of highlights and was told on the day of booking that a stylist would be allocated to me.
During the consultation (prior to my cut and colouring) the stylist looked carefully at my hair and reassured me that she would colour my hair to match my existing highlights.
After the highlights were done the stylist recommended a toner be put on my hair. So far so good.
When leaving the salon I examined the colour and although it appeared to look ok I couldn’t see that well as the lighting in the salon was rather dim.
The real problems started when after a few days I decided to wash my hair — to my horror my hair turned a very nasty brassy yellow /​orange colour — not the cool ash blonde I had asked for at all!!! And with every wash it’s becoming more yellow :(
With hindsight I should have double checked the colour she used but somehow I trusted the stylist to do a good job. Perhaps the stylist didn’t leave the highlights on for long enough as I know that this is what happens when your hair turns yellow /​orange after highlights!
All in all, I am really disappointed, especially as I paid an awful lot of money for the cut and colouring. Normally i would return back to the salon to get them to correct it, but I just don’t trust them to do a decent job now. I have no choice but to go back to the salon I used to go to in the past! :(

Ladies and Gentlemen! We have a winner! My past experiences with hairdressers in the Netherlands were not that great… very often they were just doing what they wanted and they were not so skilled in cutting my very curly hair till this day…
I was welcomed at the door and asked right away if I would like something to drink. When I sat down at the bar area to wait my drink appeared really quickly. My hairdresser was Kim who asked me what I wanted to do with my hair, whether I was happy with current length, color. After hearing my wishes she suggested color that would go well with my skin color and my style. She also gave me price indication and asked me if I was ok with it. Right away she invited me to the hair cutting section where she started cutting my curly hair dry. why none of the hairdresser I met so far thought about it… curly hair tends to look very different when it is dry. it is always a bit shorter, different. Once my hair was cut we moved to color zone where I got different highlights and a color toner, or something. The washing my hair zone was a relaxing, lounge area where you lay comfortably on a lounge bed, while your hair is being washed, head being massaged. All in all I spent more than 3 hours there and when I left happy with my new hair, my hairdresser mentioned that if there was something that I didnt like about it to come by within the next two weeks and they would adjust it for free.

I have been here three times now and always left very satisfied with my new cut :-) Clean looking salon with friendly service. They start every appointment with evaluating your wishes and previous cut. I feel in very capable hands when I am here!
You can make an appointment for a complementary trim of your bangs in between cuts. Very useful!
