Restaurant Zuidam

I can’t comment on the food here, though what I saw from other people looked good. I came here for drinks with friends on the patio and had a great experience. They have a gin & tonic bar, and I had one with elderflower tonic which was delicious. It was a warm and sunny day and they had white wine and rosé on ice for all the people coming to enjoy the nice weather. It’s a great patio (terras) to sit back and watch all the boat traffic on the Spaarne.

Une carte concise mais avec des plats délicieux. Vue imprenable sur le fleuve et sur le moulin. Service agréable.

I’ve now been here for lunch and dinner and can highly recommend this restaurant. Beyond it’s fantastic «in the shadow of a windmill on the Spaarne River» location, this restaurant is extremely well thought out and executed.

Yes, I really, really like this place. Would go back in a heartbeat. Not «last meal» perfect or Michelin star level, but really worth trying.

have eaten here four times… and each time deserves TEN stars! The menu changes, and always has interesting choices — not a huge array, but there are a few meat dishes, vegetarian and fish. The starters, entrees and desserts all fit on a one page menu.
The service is friendly and very good.
The food, always delicious. Last night all four of us were more than pleased with our choices.
Chicken sate appetizer with peanut sauce atop a pappadum with housemade chutney
Crabcake on a sauteed fennel and arugula salad
Salad with a goatcheese and walnut, honey mustard dressing
Main Courses: Two had the Pork Sate and twoI had the Porcini and Morel Ravioli with delicious sauteed veggies
Desserts: cheesecake — light with a citron based sauce, figs with honey, port and the tastiest ice cream ever.
Wine selection — very good and reasonable in price.
Ahh…the brown bread basket provided right away — fresh and delicious… and their olive oil is very flavourful.
