As a Pathé Unlimited cardholder I’m a regular at the cinema. Nice, comfy seats. Snack bar is expensive but you can always go to the Albert Heijn next door and smuggle in some sweets if you are so inclined. Staff is always friendly and they have a decent number of special events from ‘Ladies Night’ to live broadcasts of the Metropolitan Opera in NYC.

An underground movie theater?! Alright so it’s not underground in the sense of a secret theater. It’s underground in the sense of being built underground. With this comes a certain amount of sound dampening and loss of cellular reception, which isn’t a bad thing while at the movies.
The Pathe in Haarelm is along the same quality as the others around. All of the staff there has alway been very nice and smiling. The seats inside are comfortable and you feel as though you have enough room. The screen quality is also not too bad. there is though less selection for snacks than some of the bigger locations in Amsterdam for example. Another positive thing is the selection of movies always seems to be quite diverse. They’re always should be something for just about anyone playing.
I’m glad to see a newer theater of this quality in the city.

A brand new movie theatre in the centre of the city. It’s clean (!) and there are always a lot of different movies to choose from. There is a big offer for children (not only mainstream movies) and in weekends you can also watch a lot of movies late in the evening. For adults the selection is more mainstream. A disadvantage is that the food is very expensive and they only sell unhealthy snacks. So bring your own food and drinks, and don’t show them at the door ;)

Still like to go to the cinema every now and then, especially for the switch-​your-​brain-​off popcorn movies :)
Have to say that I really like this Pathe cinema. It is relatively new and I think that the quality of the movie and sound system appears to be very good.

I love this cinema. It is in the center of Haarlem and the movie rooms are located in the basement, which has a great advantage — even if some people forget to switch off their phones. you will still be spared the annoying ringing phones’ sound, as most of the devices dont have network connectivity…

A relatively new movie theater in a new section of Haarlem called Raaks. The place has 8 rooms (I believe) for movies. The crazy thing is, the whole place is underground!
Everything there is new and the picture and sound quality is pretty good. The seats are comfortable and there is a decent selection at the snack bar.
This place is much better than the old movie theater that used to be in Haarlem in the Grote Markt.
