Low quality food, presentation and service. These cooks have lost any inspiration or love for what they do. Much tasted awful and that is just a waste of money and good appetite. Never again!

This place could not deal with my request to order ‘à la carte’ when my 9 friends wanted ‘all you can eat’. I understand this can cause some issues but hearing ‘if we do that for you, we have to do that for everybody!’ did not make me feel warm and fuzzy about the place. I ended up having to pay a lot more for the food I wanted than I should have, and in retrospect I should have just left before we ordered. The sashimi did taste nice, but lacked the scallaps and the wasabi tasted very weak. Service turned out slow, and with plenty mistakes(which they did fix promptly, kudos for that). The volume of the music prevented us from really talking to each other. At the end, we got billed for 11 people instead of 10, which also got fixed. Won’t go back here.

Pricy, uncontrolled staff and long waiting times. To many tables to serve. But nice food and atmosphere. Only small portions.

Generally, I am not a big fan of all you can eat sushi. A restaurant can cut costs in many areas, but raw seafood is probably one area where the risks could potentially outweigh the savings. Anyway, Lounge 8 delivers in a good way, although not necessarily with sushi. While the tuna and salmon sushi options were good, the eel was weak, as was the selection of other fish. However, the quality of both the tuna and salmon sushi and sashimi was quite good, especially for the price(23 euros for all you can eat). The cooked dishes ranged from very good to nasty. The honey chicken was very good, as well as any sort of shrimp that is fried. The beef and lamb skewers were also very good but the duck was nasty. The pan fried sole was also a hit with the table. Anyway, lounge 8 is a good value in a nice space that was previously occupied by a club — Liquid. Instead of dance music, they blast the lounge music. But the food is pretty good if you order carefully, and it’s a good place to kill a couple of hours with an all you can eat option.
