Simply great. We had schnitzel en entrecôte. The entrecôte was cooked to perfection, where you often find them overcooked this one was just right. The schnitzel was big and crispy, German style. The service was friendly and prompt, it seems part of the guests are friends of the owner or maybe just regulars. The regular beer is Jupiler, so no sticky Dutch lagers. The mushroom and stroganoff sauces were too sweet and bland, though the entrecôte(did I mention it’s perfect quison?) can and should be served with nothing but gravy. The fries were almost perfect, which saved the other side dishes from loosing face, the salad and baked potatoes were verging on mediocre. The deserts, cheese cake and strudel were fine, tasty and subtle doing what any good desert should do: end the meal with a smile. A place you could easily miss on its busy road, but one that deserves a u-turn and a sampling!
