We showed up without a reservation and were seated with no problem. The service, although very slow to show up at the start, evolved into a very attentive and helpful experience. Whether it was the wine selections or the main course, our waitress eagerly engaged in the conversation with some excellent recommendations. The requisite sliced bread for dipping in a ‘do-it-yourself’ olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip accompanied with a few olives for munching on. The bread was okay. The house red(Merlot) was pleasant and it was nice that it could be ordered by the glass. The chef’s special of tagliatella with tomato basil sauce and beef was tasty. The pasta was okay(a little pasty) and the beef, while rich in flavour, was a little chewy. We also had the sea bass & scampi dish. It was excellent. The fish was well prepared and the sauce was full of flavour with a nice little kick. The side salad was a good sized portion with very fresh ingredients, but the dressing was a touch on the salty side. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
