Valkenberg Park

I just love it. I really do.
On weekdays it’s a bit quieter, but even in the weekends when the park is pretty full, the open and free atmosphere remains. People are friendly and cheerful, no one’s afraid of having a little chat regardless of if you know one another.
Sometimes there’s groups of people that bring a guitar and play some music. I’ve brought my longboard a few times and ended up meeting new people, had a chat about boarding, and even swapping our boards and trying them out in the park.
Usually I go here alone and just chill out with a book or music, and I’ve stayed until the early hours, and always feel safe strolling about by myself.
It’s definitely my favourite park!
