Visited In Kannen en Kruiken on this sombre rainy day with a friend. It’s a lovely, homely place filled with vintage and DIY décor,(Mason jar lights for example) making you feel comfortable right at the first second. We checked out the menu, and I have to be honest(being a student) the prices scared me a bit! They quickly redeemed themselves though, cause the portions you get here are amazingly royal. My friend had the Italian lemon cake and I had the carrot cake. Both of us struggled to finish these, but we did because it was too tasty to waste! Other than the cake, we both had a hot chocolate with whipped cream. They came in huge glasses, filled with actual warm milk and having to stir the chocolate yourself. What made it more delicious was that the chocolate was actual Tony’s Chocolonely :). They also have a lovely garden where you can sit, but sadly Dutch summer kind of ruined the opportunity for us to do that today. Perhaps in the next review, if the weather allows! All in all, great place to sit, have a chat with your friend and relax.
