While visiting Amsterdam, this café was in the ground floor of the Airbnb I was staying at. We didn’t try it the first day, but by day two, I was craving a good coffee fix so we decided to go downstairs and check this place out. I ordered a cappuccino and my husband ordered a double espresso. They stated they would bring our coffees to us so we went to sit in the window. I’m so glad I did because it had been pretty cold that day and it turns out there was a heater directly under the bar by the window. So it was nice to warm up while people watching and grabbing a coffee. The coffees were served in a regular glass cups, which I was not a huge fan of. It makes it hard to pick up a glass that’s really hot. But the coffee was really good. We went back the next day and we ordered coffee to go. Again, the coffee was great. The bagels sounded fantastic, but we didn’t end up trying them while we were there. Can’t wait to try them the next time I’m back in Amsterdam though. Oh, and extra bonus, free wifi! :)

I stopped by this café while walking to another place I had bookmarked on Unilocal for brunch in Amsterdam. The reason I made the unexpected stop was because this café looked way too cute to just pass by! I absolutely love the style & the mellow scene of this place. It could be ideal for both studying or for chatting with one or two other people. The coffee was good & the barista was friendly so no complaints here!

Really good bagels! Nice, light atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. We had the chicken avocado on sesame and the BLT on an everything bagel and would recommend both.

Mmmmmmm what a tasty lunch spot. Ideal location in centrum, off the lovely prinsengracht. I had the chicken avocado bagel and it was a flavor explosion. I’ll be back often to check out their other bagel sandwiches, quite a decent selection. I’m not btw bagel-crazy, even tend to avoid carbs, but this was mouth wateringly good. Do stop in and check em out!

Bagels are very tasty, coffe is great, staff are friendly, only downside is that it is somewhat expensive, but overall I would definitely recommend it!

Wahnsinn! The place to be! Super lecker belegte Bagel mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Hier würde ich jeden Morgen frühstücken. Preislich eher bei € als bei €€ einzuordnen.

Oh yes, I love me some bagels! We popped in for breakfast while in Amsterdam over New Years and it was delicious. We came in around 9:30−10am and it wasn’t too busy. We were able to snag a little table for the 4 of us until this dude moved from the middle of the 6 person table he was hogging(typical Amsterdam-ian). The bagels came out pretty quickly which was great as we were starving! You order at the counter and they bring them over. I was with a bunch of brits that aren’t used to eating bagels for breakfast so of course 2 of them ordered more lunch type bagel sandwiches. I believe they were club sandwiches and they really enjoyed them so hey whatever works. I had the goat cheese bagel and unlike some of the other reviewers I LOVED it. Creamy delicious goat cheese with honey. ghaaaa what more could a person want? It was the perfect type of goat cheese too — not too strong. I thought the amount given was perfect also, not too much, not too little… Just right!(I sound like Goldilocks now don’t I?). The BF had the smoked salmon bagel and thought it was good also. The prices are reasonable and the service quick. Definitely check it out if you are a bagel fiend and in the area!

My first breakfast in Amsterdam! On a rainy August morning, we decided to enter Village Bagels and try something familiar for breakfast. Not the best bagel ever, but was it satisfying! The coffee must have been better than the bagel itself, and the rest is history. It gets crowded, but the service is quick. You could keep sitting for a while or go outside and discover Amsterdam all over again.

I am a regular since 2000 and their bagels are THE best in town! Only thing is that the staff has a hard time with special orders, that never works out, but hey… Enjoy!

After landing in Amsterdam around 9 a. m; and dropping our bags, Kris and I headed out to explore but needed some calories. We stopped into this little shop to fuel up before exploring. While the sandwiches sound great, it was terribly disappointing(except for the oj… that was AWESOME). The bagels are terrible — a weird texture, bland and icky and the toppings were poorly proportioned. We ordered two with the plan to split each one but ended up eating maybe a quarter of each. One had mozzerella and grilled veggies — there was far too much pesto. The other was goat cheese and honey… an awesome mix except that there was so much cheese it was gross. Cash only, with waitstaff that wasn’t terribly helpful… only stop here in a pinch.
