«Red is the new black»… They had some amazing burgundy glittery red Cavalli hot pants. The only thing is Italian sizes. The pants fitted. Fitted like in I-could-get-both– legs-completely-up through-and-close– the zipper. There was no bending over, picking up the bar of soap in these shorts though, not without combustion like venomous gas trying to escape after eating a Taco bell meal. The shop is quite big by the way. Didn’t realize it at first, but there’s this whole downstairs area as well. It was big enough for my mom and I to bicker without scaring the other customers away. Still annoyed from the reminder that Italian size L isn’t quite the same fit as European size M, I was looking to vent. So the argument went something like this… My mom wanted to buy a red silk blouse and I went«mom, you already have a red silk blouse». Mom…“no I don’t”. Me…“yes you do”. Mom«no oh». Me «yes». Mom«okay, so when did I get it». Me «you bought it last summer in London, at Broadway market». Mom«So what»…highly irritated louder voice… eyes bulging out«SOWHAT». Me thinking«what crawled up her butt»… and«okay, time to back down now». Anyways, I left empty handed that day. But mom ended up buying a leather bag, pink open shoes, a shirt… and the red blouse. The damage? Only € 110. And to think I’d just prevented her from making a impulse purchase, spending that same amount on just 1 new leather bag earlier the day.

I am highly recommending this second hand, vintage and consignment store. It’s located on the corner of Ceintuurban, so easy to find. Right across from the new Marqt. You will find this unique second hand shop with a lot of clothes, shoes, purses, accessories, and new furniture. Everything a woman likes. Also a great spot to meet your girlfriends for tea and coffee. Price I would say is moderate. I am Queen of consignment shops, if you have followed my reviews. I always have a lot of unnecessary clothes, shoes and accessories that are too fabulous to give a way so easily from California. So, I drop it right off at the consignment shop for a great price. Also if you have any exceptional items that look like they are in perfect condition, then make sure to clarify the price that you would like to sell it for, but don’t go in there asking a certain amount for basic brands. Just be grateful you sold it and made space in your closet for something new. What I love about this shop is that they are super professional, if you are dropping off any of your designers clothes, bags, and shoes, then you can track all of your items online here. They even transfer the funds to your account, if your not up to picking it up. They will hold your items in the shop for 3 months to sell, and send you a reminder email to pick up your items on the date that it is due. How awesome is that! I was please to hear that for every item they sell of yours that you get back half of the revenue from it. I thought that was awesome on their part, compared to some of the other business. I found a few stores in Amsterdam to be unorganized or unprofessional that I ran across when it comes to consignment stores. I rather associate with a business that has high standards, pleasant and on top of it when it comes to customer service and super friendly. Venten offers nice clothes at an affordable price, in an easy and organized fashion for pleasant shopping. The shop is very versatile in a good way. It sales new furniture, lamps, accessories, second-hand clothes for women and children. It’s a great meeting spot for coffee. I was very impress how well organized the store was maintain. Make sure to check out both levels of the store. There are two levels in the shop. So you won’t find any damage, messy, or unappealing piles of merchandise in the store. Owner is super nice, friendly, and professional, which is a double plus in my book.
