Van der Linde

Van der Linde is one of these unremarkable shops that you hardly notice until you need something specific stationery-​like. Like a foam board.
Don’t get mislead by the shop front, this place is huge! And it’s not a stationery store (like I thought because of the display) but an artist supply (like it says on the plaque). But they’ve also got stationery.
Only when you enter and walk around you notice how big this shop is and their assortment is HU-​MUN-​GOUS!
I haven’t seen so many different paint /​acrylic brands in all my life so far. I guess Van der Linde basically has got everything that you may ever need for painting (thousands of paint tubes and brushes) or being creative with paper whatsoever. They have more different articles than you can even imagine. All kinds of paper colours and sizes, sketch blocks, maps, foam boards, books about relevant topics, a vast stationery assortment, spray, easels, and and and. It’s a joy to visit even if you don’t need anything. I guess you’ll still walk out with a bag.

Amazing store! For professionals and also for people looking for a start in creative arts. They have a serious supply, so much! For the ones who don’t live here and are artistis, its worth going to the store for Van Gogh stuff and other goods. To me this is the best art supply store in the city. Watch out for good discounts sometimes, other than that, fair prices and amazing supply! If you haven’t found something in another store you will find it here. Its my new favorite place :)
