Utterly appalled by the horrendous service(or more like lack of service) of staff. First, we were told there were no tables inside, but it was obviously empty. We then requested for a table outdoors, but staff did not attend to us after waiting for nearly half an hour. The condescending attitude of staff was extremely distasteful and I have made a mental note never to patronize The Harbour Club AND The Harbour Club Kitchen ever again.

Worst service ever. Run, don’t walk the other way. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Top quality of Boulliabaise and Flank Steak. Lady steak seemed to be really small. Lobster soup could have been more. Wine recommendation was great. Service great. Pricing is top level. Champagne rosé for 15 €. It is more or less THE place to be seen. People well dressed up. Ladies — Wear black to be hip. Music us good but loud. So for an intense talk this is not the best environment. Über worked for trip home although it is quite off the centre. You can cone by boat. They have docks to tow your boat.

Food took too way too long and and was only decent. Expected much more based on the awesome atmosphere. Seems like quality control may be an issue in a resultant of that size.

The venue is fantastic all the way down to the bathrooms; keep this in mind when you get the bill because you WILL be paying for your surroundings and the view. 8pm Wednesday reservation and the place, a beautifully lit warehouse turned stylish hotspot, is pretty empty. We are asked to wait by the bar for our table to be prepared. We had orange juice and Cointreau cosmos that were wonderful but took quite a while to receive. The bartender apologized and all was forgiven once we took a sip. 45 minutes later — they brought us some pre-made nut-mix that was actually quite tasty but we are STILL waiting to be seated. Once seated, we were handed our menus, everything looked wonderful. After careful consideration, we waved our waitress over to place our orders. As soon as I mentioned the first of my selections(Langoustines) she quickly interrupted with«I’m sorry, we’re out of those» She smiled, «I’ll give you more time.» and off she went. After rearranging and placing our order we waited another 20 minutes drooling over the table next to us with warm bread and spreads. We asked the waitress if we could get our bread while we waited for our meal and she brought the menu back to us to show us that this bread was on the menu. At this point we wanted the bread even if it came from the restaurant next door and asked her if she would please bring it right away.(The bread never came.) Finally our starters arrive, Lobster Salad and Lobster Bisque Soup. The salad was half of a VERY tiny lobster with a tablespoon of Butter Lettuce and Celery Remoulade. When they say«Cup of Soup» that’s exactly what they mean, a coffee cup size of soup arrived which wasn’t all that bad but very watered down. Maybe they were trying to make it stretch for all 30 patrons. After two smoke breaks, the second course arrives but our side dish is missing. The Chicken Teriyaki with Bok Choy was delicious but also more like an appetizer portion and our Soft Shell Maki(described as: Lobster Tempura, Sea Urchin, Avocado) arrived as soft shell crab with sliced cucumber but I’m certainly not paying € 22,95 for soft shell crab so I called the waitress over to see if maybe there was a mistake but she tells me this is what I ordered. I pointed out the missing urchin and avocado and that the claws were that of a crab and not a lobster so she had to call for backup. Another server comes to the table to insist that this is the way they serve this dish and I had to again show them the crab and cucumber inside my roll. Ahhhh. Now they agree and take the dish back. My boyfriend, almost finished his chicken, is now eating even slower to wait for me to join him but we see 4 servers and 3 chefs hovering over my dish like they’re examining a body in the morgue, trying to come up with a clear diagnosis. Just as my boyfriend is about to hop up and join them to see what the issue is we are finally brought out our side dish, Potatoes Au Gratin, which was delicious so I assured my boyfriend that he could continue eating and I would have the potatoes while I waited for the sushi roll to be sorted out… We ended up swapping and I finished the other half of his tiny chicken dish and gave him the other half of the potatoes to finish while we waited. A man in black approaches with what looks to be my sushi order, he places it in front of me(it’s the same roll, the exact roll I sent back 30 minutes ago) he goes over the dish with me as if I am in sushi school. «Here you see this is crab but we always make it with crab, that’s why it’s called Soft Shell Maki, and here… «(I can see they took a small piece of lobster about the size of my baby finger and laid it over the last two pieces of the roll) «Here we have the lobster!» «This is the way the roll always comes» -(like maybe they were going to fool me into thinking the piece was there all along.) The description printed on your menu says -«Lobster Tempura, Sea Urchin, Avocado Roll» the tiny bit of lobster you added on top of a crab roll? And where is the Avocado? And Sea Urchin? After careful dissection he agreed that this was not a Lobster Roll and took it back but before he left the table he turned and asked«How would you LIKE me to have the chef make it for you?» to which I replied with a smile«Just the way it is written on the menu.» 15 minutes later my roll arrived JUST as it was written, but after all this fuss, it was quite a letdown. Graciously, for all the confusion, the roll was removed from the bill. Dessert — Macaroons might have been wonderful … If they weren’t frozen rock hard solid. I almost broke a tooth biting into one. So to sum it all up, If I do come back at all I’ll be sticking to the basics or seafood platters if I’m in the mood to drop serious money for a nice view. And if you dare to order the € 22,95 Soft Shell Maki Roll, Make sure you’re getting what you’re ordering as well as paying for.

A bit posh but the best fish I’ve eaten and great service. Beautiful outdoor seating by the water during the summers. All the food here is nice including the vegetarian sushi. Be prepared for high prices but I feel it’s worth it.

This restaurant is simply stunning, add the fact that it is on the water, it’s a must-visit place. It’s a refurbished warehouse with exposed brick and wood with the interior done in a way that makes it feel almost like a lodge… but a classy lodge. A friend and I sat around the fireplace and had wine and water, so I can’t comment on the food. But I can say that I will be back with my husband at some point. It’s a Thursday night and it didn’t pick up too much by 7:15pm, but there is a lot of space for food-goers. I was told this is the place for seafood, so that will be at the top of our list when we return!

Okay-ish… But too expensive food for what you get. The venue is impressive. Huge. Designy/stylish. But we expected to visit a restaurant with dedication to sea food. Well, no dedication here. Small portions, not very fresh either. Terrace in the summertime is nice for cocktails, as if you’re at a beach club. But the weirdest thing: The have security walking around as if they don’t trust their customers! It doesn’t make you feel relaxed. But… Once a year they do an ‘all you can eat lobsters night’ which makes up for the rest of a year of disappointments. My advice: go here for only cocktails and make reservations for just that great lobster event of theirs. Or visit their venue on Ibiza island. Much better ;-)

I love this place. If you like to eat fish, you will love Harbour Club. Yes, it is a bit posh, and yes, people want to be seen. But the chef knows what he is doing!

Surely Unilocal should have a «0 star» option, something reserved for only the most abominable of experiences… like when someone from your party needs to get up and physically fetch the server. Since I HAVE to give a star to post, I dedicate this singular star to the décor. Harbour club is visually stunning and continued to stun me the rest of the night but in a «taser» sort of way. Allow me to set the scene — 10 people celebrating the glorious 6 – 7 years one of the couples spent in Amsterdam. This was the last hurrah as they go on their next adventure! We showed up dressed to the nines, ready to celebrate to the degree that Visa might need to call to confirm the«unusual activity» on our card… We had a drink at the bar and eventually made it to our table. At the table sat the«menu» card. We had a very limited menu available because apparently this restaurant can’t manage the order of 10 people off of the regular menu(had I known what would follow, I would have understood – even the simplest of tasks seemed impossible for this restaurant, like remembering to bring drinks). The issue here was that the seafood options were limited to a 2 person sharing platter, a whole lobster or a Tuna pasta. This was truly disappointing for some people — especially if you scoped out the menu earlier in the day and have your heart set on something! We sat at our table for about 15 – 20 minutes before our server even ACKNOWLEDGED us. We ordered a large sushi sharing platter which arrived probably 45 minutes later. I don’t think in that whole time the server came by to check our drinks. I don’t have any complaints about the sushi other than the fact that it took sooooooooo bloody long. It’s FREAKING raw-no cooking required. Another 30 – 40 minutes of us being ignored by our server(I saw him literally look at us, do an about-face, and go the other direction numerous times) and our mains finally showed up, though not without incident. Sauces got dropped and luckily just got the bottom of some of the gentleman’s trousers. My steak was completely unimpressive. It was under seasoned and cooked incorrectly. I didn’t dare to send it back because I was too hungry to wait another hour for it to be returned to me. I just ate around the edges of what was supposed to be my medium, 150g steak and left the big chunk of raw, bleeding meat on the plate. The coleslaw was gross and NOT«American style» as they tout, and though the fries were ok, the sauce they come with is decidedly fishy. All in all, save for the company of the lovely people we were with, the dining experience itself was abysmal. There were sauces dropped on us, we were ignored and forced to go retrieve the server, we went thirsty, the list goes on. The bill was obviously quite large, but ironically, would have been a lot larger but more palatable had we received proper service. Don’t waste your time and money at this place unless you are a masochist.

The place is stunning ! It brings out an exclusive & chic feel to the place. You definitely want to dress up for the occasion . The food was not that great but an ok is due; But I guess the atmosphere kind of gives them the pointers :) It’s unfortunate that the stuff is not really trained because they are not responsive and a place like that should have a top notch service. So be aware. The bar area is fab, the service in this are is great ! All in all it’s a great hangout place to impress guests!

When visiting the Harbour Club for the first time, I wasn’t expecting to be reminded of my youth. Yes the experience reminded my of an old British sitcom called never mind the quality, feel the width. Yes the location is stunning, especially on a sunny day. The staff are very attractive. No doubt more money was spent on the interior of the restaurant than Estelle G invests on maintaining her manufactured boobies. Yes the crowd is the usual never meek, but always chic types that are attracted to such places like gold diggers to footballers. It’s popular in Amsterdam because everyone can sit outside and indulge the number one passion of the Amsterdammer… smoking! You are probably wondering when I’m going to mention the food, after all, it is a restaurant. Well, what became clear to me is that things such as food and service are secondary, to being able to tell your sunglasses wearing, cat crushing 4×4 driving gangster friends«hey I was at the harbour club» The service is poor, but hey it’s ok, it’s a cool place. The food is average, but hey it’s ok it’s a cool place. The prices are overblown and not worth the money, but hey it’s ok it’s a cool place. Don’t worry about the food, or the service. What matters is that you can say, «I was there» If on the other hand you expect good service, food and value for money, and can go an entire evening without smoking, I’d suggest eating somewhere else.

Fancy pants people, socialites, mob guys and blondes with to much make up make sure to go here! Eigenlijk was het van begin tot eind een top avond! Echter de set up van deze tent zorgt er helaas voor dat er met name een bepaald type persoon komt en daarom zal ik er helaas niet snel meer heen gaan. I don’t fit in. Personeel: 5! Good looking ook Eten: 3.5 Uitstraling/looks: 6 wat een vette plek Publiek: 1 – 2 Blondes: attractive

It’s a little out of the way, it is an old warehouse, it is expensive, it is borderline pretentious, but it’s FUN. The design is cool, the staff are beautiful and the food is delicious. A good meal full of flavor for the money you pay. In the summertime you can sit outside — and if you are lucky enough to own a boat or have a friend who does you can make a royal entrance by pulling up and parking your boat.(for those non-Amsterdammers, it’s not a luxury boat, we’re talking canal boating style here). During the weekend evenings you can find DJs in the bathroom spinning while you focus on your bathroom experience, there are few different bar areas and when you are done eating, a nightclub starts in the back part of the warehouse. Worth the trip and worth the experience!

Great renewed warehouse just outside Amsterdam centrum… not too easy to reach but not even too difficult. It is a big place for big group dinners… for my taste a bit too pretentious. I just had drinks there so I can not comment on the restaurant. The terrace outside is very nice, on the water, with a lot of space to sit. It is the«vitelloni» kind of place. Expensive as the look requests with waitresses looking at you from top to bottom with the look :) If you do not care to be «the boy» of the evening… just get with your olé jeans and shirt, other way, if you want to mix with the crowd, wear your evening look… the more glamorous the better. DJs in every room, even in the toilets… whooooot? :) I do not think I am going to try dinner there. It is probably the best place in Amsterdam for a classy corporate event. The map does not locate it correctly … it is really at the end of Cruiquiusweg, right opposite to the last stop of Bus 22 you can take from Centraal station.

For interior design i give them an ’ A’ ! It has a great wow factor! Take a look at all the photo’s i have added. You get the feeling like you are in the south of France or Ibiza. That means at attracts all sorts/certain kind of crowd. It is the place to be seen and look around. All ‘famous’ Dutchies have found their way to this place(a reason to avoid the place), although it is in an area where they normally would not be found. The last few weeks we had beautiful weather, so their terrace was/is fully booked every night. For that reason you where not able to eat inside, because they could not handle that. They where not flexible at all yet. The largest part of their outside terrace, is lounge area. You can sit their for drinks and coffee and small bites. But if you ask to have the cheese cake from the menu there, it is not possible. However they promised me that will change that in the future. Unfortunately i can not tell you much about the food yet. The stories i have heard were so so. But i will get back to you next week about that with my own opinion. I am also very curious to see how they will do in winter time! Stay with me, the coming months.
