Best brunch I have had in a long time! So good that I went twice. Staff are super friendly and of course food is delicious, recommend anything with the hollandaise sauce in it!

Good Morning Gorgeous — what a way to start the morning. We startet out our day a cold December morning in Amsterdam. Teds place was just around the corner from our hotel, and what an amazing place. The restaurant is all-day-breakfast and opens everyday at 7am, which is perfect when you want to get out and about and be a tourist in Amsterdam. The restaurant is very long, with the bar in the middle. The interior is very scandinavian — very light colors, which looks nice and clean. We had scrambled eggs, a croissant, coffee and fresh pressed orange juice — all of it very fresh and lekker. Price was very much like every other place in A-dam. And we would absolutely go there again if we end up in the same part of the city another time.

This place was just around the corner of our hotel and because of the great Unilocal reviews, we decided to try the place out. The place was solid! It has a great and comfortable ambiance and the service was good. The food was great! I ordered the eggs and croissant with a side of ham and bacon. Everything was tasty. The orange juice was fresh and hit the spot. My partner ordered the the French toast and the scrambled eggs. He was smiling from ear to ear! He is a big French toast person and keeping him happy isn’t the easiest thing to do. I have to thank Teds for keeping our stomachs content! We left satisfied and would recommend this place for a great way to start your morning! We loved it!

Very cute, cozy and atmospheric place with fairly good brunch food and fairly standard Dutch service. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Seating is comfortable, décor is lovely, the place is lively and buzzing but not too loud. Food: 4⁄5 The food is good though nothing special, and I found myself surprised at how small the portions were(and I’m not usually a total glutton). Service: 4⁄5 The staff were lovely, funny and friendly but a bit incompetent. I had one bit of my order forgotten, and my friend and I both sent a few drinks orders into the abyss from which we never received them.

Little out of the centre of Amsterdam there is this nice place called TEDS. A not too big place which focusses on the day.(from breakfast untill lunch). The menu is not too big but holds really nice items. They are simple but very well and at good prices. It’s fresh, they are quick(also when it’s busy) and the staff is excellent. You’ll only be back for them. It’s in this ‘food walhalla Amsterdam’ still remarkable when staff is good. And a lot of people(tourists and locals) find their way to TEDS. Want to be sure of a seat… make a reservation. The inside is nice and cosy. Nice big ‘reading’ table, nice seatings in the front, terrace in summer and with good weather. Lot’s of tables and even seating at the bar. Had breakfast(scrambles eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh orange juice and toast). Like I said simple and not too fancy but just good. And then the coffee … Buscaglione, love that brand. Like their blend and here aswell good served and perfect taste. As well the espresso as the cappuccino. Good choice. I’ll be back … :-)

I saw Ted’s everywhere on social media. And I was dying to come here. So when I finally got here I was super excited. And in all honesty I was disappointed. Maybe I was expecting too much. But it was average. Very. Service was good. Super friendly. Took us quite long to get our drinks though. Atmosphere is really nice. Very cute design. Coffee– not so good. Not well made. Food. Oh food. The part I was excited about the most. First of all they were out of croissants before noon. For a place that serve brunch all day… I meam come on… The bread was cheap albert hijen bread and not good at all. Soak up everything and became saggy in a minute. Not much veggie options so I asked for extras. Now I don’t mind paying extra. I really don’t. But to pay 2 euro for 3 slices of tomato(basically less then half) and about two mushrooms?! I really wanted this place to be good. I was really excited for a new breakfast place close to my home. I am not excited anymore.

Last Saturday we took the opportunity to have a lunch/brunch at TEDS, a new place in Amsterdam. Their concept is based on the ability to order breakfast/brunch the entire day, not just until noon, normally a custom in many places. When we entered we liked the look and feel of the place immediately. It’s a hip and cozy place, with seating outside for sun lovers. Since the outside seats where understandably occupied, we got a seat inside, which we didn’t mind one bit. Happily they provided the option to order soy/almond milk cappucino’s and latte’s, so we tried those out, while I got a Happinez magazine to leaf through. After 15 minutes we got our coffee, and, sadly, they were a little on the cold side. As if they had waited to long to serve them. Now, the guy that served us was new, so alright, but still, we were a little sad to find our coffee served so luke-warm. We had ordered a veggie sandwich(for my sweet) and poached eggs on whole wheat bread for me, cheese and mushrooms at the side. When the plates where brought to us, the veggie sandwich looked rather good, but my plate was. well. Kind of how you’d make your breakfast at home. Quite simple. We shared the meals and the taste was good, but not very special. It was a good meal for a good price, but not something I would drive all the way to Amsterdam for. Knowing that TEDS’s a new place, I definitely see potential, and hope they will improve their food to give it just that little extra. In my opinion, that’s what people are looking for when eating out. The ambiance and design of the place I’d give 4⁄5 stars, the food, to be fair, 3⁄5. As ultimately, we came for the food and good coffee, All in all, I decided to give the place a 3⁄5 for now. I hope to come back some time later and see them rocking it! NB on a sidenote: they served little peanut butter squares next to the coffee. I don’t want to be picky, but I have a severe peanut allergy, and I know that peanut allergies are quite common nowadays. I don’t want to speak out on behalf of all customers, nor do I want any special treatment, but maybe another cookie of sorts is a safer option, just to make sure no-one hits the floor in anafalectic shock.

The atmosphere at TEDS is pretty cozy and the outdoor seating on a nice day looks great. The staff is pretty nice but moving around a little clueless. As far as the food I would say it’s average. We weren’t inspired by any of the meals it was just a meal. We ended up ordering a pitcher of Blood Mary’s but after a few glasses it was just too salty. The meals were mostly eggs Benedict, French toast and sandwiches. Everything tasted good but nothing was great. The search continues but if you’re in the area and want to try something new it is a good experience.

Excellent café for breakfast! Breakfast du ted is a great mix of yogurt and croissant with cappuccino and fresh orange juice. The staff is very attentive. Tip-arrive early or make a reservation if you plan to eat at 10:30 or later.
